Two steps forward, THREE steps back! Argh!

I went to disneyland.com this morning to see if the May 8-11 entertainment schedule was filled in yet. Not only was it not, the park hours for the first half of may have disappeared!!! This is very frustrating. Why don't they just give us something concrete to work with all ready???!!!!! Can't they use a little of that Disney Magic to eek out a little info once in a while??

Ok, rant over. But seriously, am I the only one who thinks this is rediculous? The optimist in me is saying MAYBE they took the hours down in order to finalize everything (INCLUDING entertainment schedule), and it will all be back up later today?...I know this is wishful thinking, but I can hope can't I?

For me it is showing park hours through May 13, just not the entertainment schedule, which isn't really abnormal for this far out.

YES I find the whole lack-of-scheduling information for DLR very frustrating. I'm not just speaking from a WDW standpoint. I plan ALL of our vacations ahead of time, well ahead of time no matter where we are going. It's part of the fun for me. It's also the only way I can keep a family of 5 able to afford to take vacations together and do things everyone is interested in. I am feeling panicky because we are less than a month away and they STILL haven't released all the entertainment schedules for our trip. I want to move on from thinking about reservations and show times and start packing. I don't understand why except that DLR must not care for people to plan ahead because they don't have to care. They must get plenty of local day-trippers who just decide to show up and know their way around that they don't need to worry about getting info out to people traveling in. Or they do everthing very last minute out there. Seriously do they not know what time they are going to start ElecTRONica next month? Makes no sense to me either. OK now my rant is done LOL

Interesting. Mine is showing only up to May 3rd. Wait...it's back up now to the 13th as well. Now if only we could get some show times we'd really be in business! I have been told that the entertainment schedules come out later. Do you know how much later? I am waiting on baited breath to see if Fantasmic! will be showing on the 8th.

Entertainment schedule is released about 6 weeks ahead of time.

There really isn't anything abnormal with the calendar. That's a long way out and the "programming" for that web page is still in flex. Park hours always fill in faster than the entertainment.

Patience please. The WDW calendar is not perfect. I have seen it change from the day before leaving to when I checked into my WDW resort.

I agree. I have made plans, ADRS, etc only to have WDW change their schedule. But hey, don't feel so bad it's not just the guests who are left up in the air. The CMs only get their schedules about 1 week out. How's that for trying to plan your life?

I wouldn't count on F! being shown on the 8th, they'll probably still be taking stuff down from the POTC 4 premier.

Hi-

I'll be traveling May 8th -13th too. I also am used to planning for WDW trips where I have information far in advance. Planning is half the fun for me as well. I think the poster who said that DL caters more to day trippers was spot on. In fact, I always consider my trips to DL "visits", while my WDW trips are vacations.

From what I read, I shouldn't worry about getting dining reservations...but if I only have one or two days to see a particular show I want to be certain not to schedule a meal during that time.....

Oh well...trying not to let my anticipation to see Walt's park turn into frustration......after all: I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!!
