Has anyone elver traveled in a party where two people needed scooters? It seems like it would be quite awkward, but we have two older travelers, one who definitely needs the help, and another who has knee issues, but thinks she can walk it. Are we better off just ordering two scooters? How many scooters fit on a bus?

There are miles and miles of walking and hours of standing daily at WDW. If anyone in your party has mobility difficulties, they may have a significantly more enjoyable (and less painful) trip if they use a mobility device of some kind, whether its a wheelchair, ECV, or rollator.

A bus can hold 2 or 3 ECVs, depending on the bus.

I've done this on three separate occasions. I am an ECV user myself, and twice I've traveled with a friend with chronic back pain issues, and once with an ex who has Multiple Sclerosis. It's 100% doable. You should be fine on the busses, they all hold either two or three ECVS. Of course if somebody from another party gets on with their ECV ahead of your party, check with the bus driver to see if there is remaining room for both. If not, at that point you can decide to split up, and have one person go ahead on the bus and the other catch up, or to both just wait for the next bus. Easy peasy. :thumbsup2

I've done this, too. It worked out fine; the only difficulty we ever had was that once in a while we'd have to go single file through the crowds and couldn't hear each other.

other issue is that if one or all scooter spots on the bus are already in use, you'll have to wait for a bus that has two scooter spaces open unless you agree to split up.
