Two rooms... One DDP?

My in-laws are traveling with DH, DD and myself next summer and we're trying to nail down logistics. Right now, we have two room only reservations and I am on the fence about possibly adding DDP to DH, DD, and my rezzie.

ILs are NOT foodies -- perfectly content with burgers and fries and gawk a bit at Disney prices. Because of this, I am planning on only 4 ADR meals for our week with the possibility of adding one or two more at MOST. The only reason I am contemplating adding the DDP is because I'm hoping to get CRT and Garden Grill in the rezzies. My fear, however, is that I won't be able to use up all the DDP TS meals since we're planning on doing some QS or even sandwiches in the room.

Can I use TS credits for in-laws meals? Like, for CRT, would we be able to do 2 credits for all four adults with just DH and my plan? I don't want to plan out every meal so that we can go where the mood carries us some but I also see the value in having the DDP credits if they can be used.

THANKS!

(P.S. we're a military room-only so I know that add ons work a bit differently)

No. Your TS credits can only be used for the occupants of your room. So if there are 3 in your room, you can only get 3 meals, not 5.

I thought it was per reservation not per room.

So what if there are two rooms on the res?

Your room key will have the number of adults on it. You will not be able to purchase more adult meals than it on you key card at one time. You will not be able to use then for the ILs.

They would each recieve key card for the occupants of their room only.

So IL's would say 2A

OP would say either 3A DDP or 2A/1C DDP

Not sure of the age of OP child and which DDP they chose will be coded differently.

OK I get the issue now one room has DDP the other doesn't. So OP wants to use their DDP credits for In-laws not on the plan.

So no.

You will not be able to use dining credits from your reservation to purchase meals for your in-laws if they are on a separate reservation with no dining plan.

Thanks for the information! I'm just trying to sort everything out and it's proving confusing and every time I call, I get a different answer from the CM I talk to, so I'm glad to see a consistent one here.

I really wanted to find a reason to buy the DDP but I just don't foresee eating that many TS meals and I'm not sure the QS plan would work for us either.

Oh well -- OOP it is!
