Hi.

For October, I have four nights in a one bedroom at GFVs. Then, my dd and dgs leave, and we are moving over to
BWVs P/G view studio for seven nights.

Move day, I am leaving at 5 am for the airport with my dd/dgs to get them through security and then Ubering back to GF.
When I return about 7/7:30 am, I plan on packing up and taking Uber to BWVs with our luggage. My mom has a scooter, so I am having
her go to MK and take a bus from there to BWVs. While this is going on my sister is landing at 9:30 am and I am having her Uber to BWVs.
We have Sangria University at 1:30 pm at Coranado Springs.

I know it is a long shot, but I'm thinking of stalking and WL the one night prior to our moving from GF to BW so when we
move, our room will already be ready from the day prior. When I set up the WL (or find it by stalking), I will put the ressie as
my first initial and my last name. Will this mess anything up when I go to merge the reservation if I find it?

This is what I have:

GFVs - October 5-9
BWVs - October 9-16

I want BWVs October 8-16

Thank you very much.

If you find the availability yourself, don’t just book the one night, modify your existing BWV to start one day earlier (and make sure to cancel WL if you have set that up). If WL comes through for that one night they will be able to merge the reservation. There is no problem at all with having more than one room reserved under the same name and address at the same time.

Yes, I know I can modify but I guess my long-winded question was about having the same name/ressie for two different reservations.
Is this a problem?

I thought a while ago it was said to put a first initial and last name not the same exact name. On move out/in day, we are not doing a park but will be charging, etc.

Thank you.

No problem at all to have the exact same name on more than one reservation for the same night. I have done this multiple times, with different resorts and the same resort. When you think about it, given the number of people where a child has the same name as a parent or uncle on an extended family trip, with more than one room booked, it would be a huge problem if multiple reservations with the same name were not permitted.

It won’t mess anything up, We have done this many times..got a night double booked in December as well.

Now, we normally will stay in the second resort night two, but it’s nice to be able to head over there with things later in the day after check in time and be all set to go!

Perfect. I really appreciate your answering me.
Good luck to me. I wish I thought of this before 31 days out but it is what it is.
If I get it great and if not, oh well. However I do have the WL and stalking.

Enjoy!

It’s been a while since it has happened to us and things are different now.

Although we were able to have two reservations for the same day and names, our problems occurred with FP and also with magic bands not working on the doors. I think these are some of the reasons why, in the past, it was recommended that you vary the names on the reservations.

Thank you. Yes, I remember that was one of the reasons. Thank you.

It tends to be a problem if you want to access both rooms at the same time. Do you plan to enter the room at BWV and then return to GFV? If not, I think you'll be okay. You might have to stop at the desk to get your bands to work correctly, but that should only happen once; either when moving or after your room is assigned on changeover day.

Uber with a scooter is not easy. You could schedule and plan accessible transportation like Mears shuttle, but this is expensive and restrictive by time.

Mom can scoot to the HS bus and scoot over to BW from the parking lot. It's not far at all to BW from the parking lot. Or, scoot over to the MK (or HS) buses and take a bus to Coronado from MK.

I would have a backup plan if you are delayed at the airport with the kids or traffic or whatever. MCO is a real wild card of an airport. If mom can't handle the bags without you, you need to have it ready before you leave. I would get unaccompanied minors all the way to the gate if I could and wait with them.

Thank you for your responses. I appreciate it.

Our first leg of the trip is GFVs. When we leave GFVs, we will get to BWVs (where my sister will meet us since she lands at MCO at 9 am).

Once at BWVs, I don't plan on returning to GF but it will be the same day
I leave GF and arrive BWVs. I don't plan on going to the parks that day.

On move day, I plan on having my mom scooter over to MK and take a bus to BWVs. I'll Uber with bags.

Does the Skyliner go to somewhere where we could walk to Coronado Springs for Sangria University? I NEVER thought about us walking/scooter to the HS bus stop (we call can). THANK YOU. I did not think of this at all. That is a perfect idea! Thank you again!

My mom can handle the bags but my dd's flight is at 7 am, so once I get my dd/dgs through security, I am heading back to GF. So thinking it will be around 5/530 am when I head back, which is enough time to pack up what we didn't the night before and get ready for our move.

Thank you so much again! I was a little stressing about how we are getting to CS for Sangria University now you have made it easy!

Thanks again!

Coronado is bus dependent. If you look at the map, there could be a walking path to HS, but there isn't. IMO, Coronado (to TTC) will be the next Skyliner expansion, but that's not now.

Another option is to let mom chill at Poly/GF and take the MK bus to Coronado. I think the monorail is more fun place to kill a few hours than BW.

Disney could move the bags, if you have them all ready. That would save you having to schlep them.

With time to kill, you could actually ride the Skyliner from the International Gateway at Epcot to CB to HS. This would put you right next to the HS buses (and the walking path from BW). Waste of time, but fun, and sounds like you have time to kill.

I would make sure there is a plan for mom in case you get stuck at the airport with kids with a delayed flight, something like that. I wouldn't leave the kids in MCO until I had to. That airport is too messy and has too many issues.
