How will it work if I have two rooms under my name and total of 4 adults and 2 children and we get the Disney dining plan? Will they lump them by individual room, both rooms together or by person. Also what if one room wants to participate in the dining plan and the other doesn't.
Thank you :)

You can only have one room registered to your name. Another adult has to be the lead on the second room.

And dining plans & credits are per room.

Not always. We had a reservation for 5 people at POFQ with 2 rooms. It was under one reservation number with me and 2 kids in one room and DH and 3rd child in the other room. Our credits were all pooled together and all the keys worked on both connecting rooms.

If it's 2 separate reservations, you won't have any problem with one room getting the plan and not the other. However, you won't be able to share credits with the party who doesn't have the dining plan.

humm.. Oh boy I hope I don't have trouble b/c I have a passholder rate and I am the only one with an annual pass. I hope I don't have a problem.

Only one passholder rate is available per passholder. So if you are the only one with a AP pass you can only get 1 room with that rate. (I'm not sure if this is true for the pins that have been going around though.) In the past general pins have been good for multiple rooms. However normal passholder rates are only good for 1 room.

Same for us. Looking at our cards now from our Oct 2009 trip. We had two rooms, each with one adult and 2 kids listed. Since there was one reservation number, all key cards had the total DDP adult/child numbers and worked in both rooms. Our cards specifically say "DDP A02C04" on them and they worked for anyone in our party.

If both rooms are under the same resort reservation number, you must get the same dining plan for everyone in both rooms and all credits will be pooled under the same reservation.

If they are separate reservations, you can get dining plan for one and no plan or a different plan for the other room. But the guests that have the dining plan may not use their credits to order meals for the guests in the room that does not have the dining plan.

And I've always thought that passholders could get up to 3 rooms with a discount per passholder.
