Two reservations on one trip = two different ticket packages?

We currently have a trip booked renting DVC points. I had planned to get the 4 day/1 Park each ticket with that stay, but haven’t purchased the tickets yet.

We currently have a cruise booked, but I am thinking of canceling and adding a few more nights at the parks and we would resort hop after our DVC rental ends. We might do a Halloween party and would possibly want to do another park day, so when I book the additional park stay I assume I could select to add a one day ticket.

My question is can I purchase the 4 day/1 Park ticket on its own and then purchase the additional one park day with my new booking?

Would I be able to space out when I use the 4 day ticket? I might not want to use all 4 days during the original DVC stay if I didn’t have to. Would that impact how/when I can make fast pass reservations?

Definitely price out the cost of combining a single day ticket and 4-day magic ticket as opposed to a 5 day ticket--you may find the 5 day ticket to be considerably cheaper depending on when you go as prices vary across different dates for both kinds of tickets.

If you do go with the magic ticket, it expires 7 days after the selected start date, so if you stay within 7 days you'll be fine. You would need to talk to guest services before entering a park on the first day to prioritize your tickets so that you use up the ticket you want to use up first (i.e., single day vs 4-park ticket)
