When is the best time to go during the fall to experience the Halloween holiday? We are hoping for coolerish weather and lower crowds (comparably to the second week in december) while still being there for our first disney halloween. We would most likely arrive on a monday and leave on a friday evening.

The second question is what rides would i have to remove my son from his baby carrier? He will be about six months so he should be able to sit up if he had to.

Thanks in advance!,

The best guess at this point is that HalloweenTime will start on 9/12 and run through Halloween (and potentially the Sat/Sun after Halloween, so through 11/2). If you hoping to attend one of the Mickey's Halloween Party, then those are likely to to start at the very end of September and run through Halloween.

I would avoid the first two weekends in October because those correspond to Gay Days and CHOC walk. Those events (while fun if you're attending because of them) tend to result in high park crowds on the weekends and the shoulder days (Fri especially). It might not be to bad in your case because you don't have a Sat/Sun on your plan. Weather can be highly variable, so there is really no way to say which week(s) will be cool and which will be warm at this point (I'd generally say that it should get cooler as time progresses, but mother nature does not always follow a linear path).

I would look at the third week of October. The first couple of weeks have the potential to be nuclear hot. Note I said POTENTIAL - the weather very well may be fine then, but the last 2 years I've gone during that time it was quite warm.

I'll second avoiding the CHOC walk weekend. Last year the parks were slammed all weekend, beginning on Friday. Like, "OMG is it Christmas week?" crowded. It wasn't very fun.

We went last year September 26 to October 1 and lived it! Yes, it was hot but not unbearable. All the decor was up, it was great!

The heat is hit or miss. It could be 70 or 95. Depends on what direction the wind is blowing. I would go last week in September or first week in Oct. Since you are going during the week, events on the weekend wont matter too much. During that time of year, Fireworks are Halloween party only and on weekends, keep that in mind when you are planning!

We went in 2012 in early October and hit a heat wave--103 degrees one day. Went a couple of years prior to that (same time) and hit another hot streak! I'm thinking July will be a breeze this year--can't be any worse!

Thanks so much guys! Currently the fireworks/party are not something we are worried about hitting, unless my husband changes his mind or my little sister comes with (: mostly interested in the atmosphere rides decorations and food and such.
I figured the weather would be a big variable im hoping its nice and frigid though. Our summer here in AZ is expected to be long and hot iyll be nice to have cold to look forward to.

Any info on the baby carrier question? I finally feel like I have disneyland all figured out then something new happens lol. New baby new holiday totally new experience :p

Thanks for all of your kind help!,
