Two questions Would you pay more for Moderate? If so, which one?

W have stayed in both value and moderate, and to us there is NO QUESTION that it is worth the extra $$ to stay in a moderate.

Our favorite is PO-FQ. It is quiet, but whimsical for the kids, the kids will LOVE the serpent slide, and it is the least spread out and most recently refurbished of the moderate resorts (reopened just last May). The food court is great, as is transportation. Even when having to share a bus with PO-R, you will be the 1st stop, so 1st on, 1st off! The castmembers are fantastically nice. Also, you can use all of the amenities at the sister resort next door, so you will have 2 themed pools, 2 playgrounds, 2 food courts, a full service restaurant, boat and bike rental and a boat launch from there to Downtown Disney from 9:30 am until 11 pm at night!

I think this is just the ticket for your overworked, stressed out husband. I know that is the favorite (including deluxes) of my overworked, stressed out father and mother. DH and I love it, and DD who was 7 when we stayed there said it is her favorite because she can go on the serpent slide and over to PO-R and go on their slide, too. Don't forget to visit the butterfly garden in back of Arcadia House at PO-R, too! There is also a fishin' hole at PO-R, as well!

Why not split your stay? Book a night or two at the moderate just to try it out, but save money by keeping the majority of your stay at ASMu. I happen to love ASMu, but POR is so relaxing, and CSR is beautiful - both have a definite "deluxe" feel to them. If you try this, though, be sure to book the moderate to "upgrade" the tail end of your trip. If you go to the moderate first you'll run the risk of feeling let down when you finish up at the less fancy resort.
