From what I am reading Mytho's is not to be missed.. it doesn't sound like any restaurant I have ever heard of in an amusement park!.. Questions... is wearing the standard tee-shirts and wet shorts etc that you wear to the parks acceptable?...and also... I have children that are VERY picky eaters.. they will be too old for the kids menus... any suggestion of what they may like? They like the standard kid food pizza, hamburgers etc but they expect them to be prepared like they are used to and won't eat anything unusual much to my dismay!!

Mythos is not like any theme park restaurant!! You can wear your "park clothes" in there and be fine. Your children could order the regular pizza--the pizza of the day may be too "different" for them, but they can decide for themselves. They have chicken fingers and other things children will eat. The desserts are GREAT!

I understand your concerns about picky eaters. My daughter is extremely picky. We at Mythos last week. It is truly not to be missed and you are right, it is unlike any other theme park restaurant. DD had a regular cheese pizza. She liked it. She would never have eaten the pizza of the day as it had spinach and mushrooms on it. I would advice against the Neutronic Chicken Fingers because they are covered in sprinkles. The sprinkles have no flavor but it is interesting to look at. My son who is not a picky eater was a little apprehensive about eating them because of the way they looked.

Yes, you can wear your sweaty t-shirts to Mythos. I admit I was concerned about that as well. Normally for a restaurant that serves such wonderful food, you would dress quite differently and much nicer. Mythos is located in the middle of the park in Lost Continent. We ate lunch there and everyone was dressed just as we were...t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, sandals, tennis shoes, etc...

but your clothes don't have to be....LOL

Everyone in there is usually in t shirts and shorts. But do try to be dry when you go in, the seats have almost like a velvet material....

Does anyone have a favorite meal at Mythos? This sounds like a not-to-be-missed restaurant - and we have rather adventurous eaters (esp our 9 yr old daughter). Thanks for your suggestions! :D

Their menu changes every now and then and some favorites may not still be on the menu. Last summer I had Corvina (a fish similar to sea bass) which was outstanding. I loved their pork sandwich, but don't think they still have it. The pizza of the day is great. Salmon is wonderful. Pork tenderloin was great. My favorite thing is the warm, gooey, chocolate banana cake.

Does anybody know if they will be cutting back on Mythos hours once slow season starts again? We'll be there 9/11-15 and cannot miss a lunch or two at Mythos.

The corvina, which is a Chilean sea bass, was very unfortunately not on the menu when we were there in June. It was without question, the best seafood dish I have ever eaten (and I eat a lot of seafood out!). Truly a loss from the menu.

My absolute favorite thing to eat at Mythos is the Maine Lobster and Corn Bisque!

Now I'm craving it and won't be back til September! ;)

How do Lunch and Dinner compare at Mythos? We are going to Universal in early November (5th-8th) - should we still make advance reservations? Thanks for all the advice! ;)

Reservations for Mythos should only be made during Peak seasons, IMO. You can still make the reservation if you'd like, but during Nov, there's little wait for seating.

I'm so sorry they took the corvina off the menu. I also dine out often and eat a LOT of seafood. I agree, this was one of the most delicious dinners I've ever had.

The menu is the same for lunch and dinner. I don't know how late the parks will be open in November, but when they close early, Mythos is usally only open until 3:00. Check their hours, you may have to do lunch.

did you notice it was prepared and served differently the second time it came back on the menu??

it was still very very good but the original way was just outstanding. :smooth:
