1. I have old tickets with plus still on them. Do I have to turn the old cards in and get new one? Or will the old tickets work at the gate? We are going to BB one day.

2. The Finger Scan that everyone is talking about for the tickets is that just for AP card holders or does package people also have to do the finger scan?

Thanks,
Patty

Old passes stiull work.

The biometric scan is for APs as well as the new Magic Your Way passes (among others).

How do they scan your finger? At the resort at check in?

The first time you use the ticket, at the gate, the machine measures your fingers. Each gate entry after that, the machine compares your fingers to the stored original scan.

What about 1 day passes? Will it be harder to get in with just a 1 day pass? Or easier?

What do you mean "harder to get in"?

All tickets are handled the same way. All MYW tickets -- 1 day, 5 day, 10 day, whatever -- require both a ticket and a biometric scan. If the scan does not match what is "stored" on the ticket, then photo ID will be required to match the name on the ticket with the person trying to use it. This is the same regardless of the length of the ticket.

If you have "old" one day passes (which are one day / one park passes, not hoppers), scans are not required and anyone can use them.

By harder to get in, I guess I just meant does it take longer to do the whole fingerprint thing? Now, since someone has said they do the fingerprint thing for 1 day passes, I have more questions. This will be our first trip to MK...and we're only doing 1 day, so we don't have tickets yet at all. Not sure what would be the quickest way to get them...at our resort or online through our TA, DU, or somewhere else. But, what all is involved in this fingerprint thing? Do we do it at the resort? Or do we do it at MK? I'm confused. We're also hoping to have a PS at CRT our 1 day in MK so I'm worried that this whole fingerprinting thing will hold us up since its only a 1 day pass and yet to be activated at all. :confused3

Ted answered the most common question about the MYW tickets. The other thing I'll add is that there is no activation required after purchase, with MYW tickets, you are given activated tickets that can be used at a park turnstyle.

(APs, and FL resident passes still may have exchange vouchers that need to be exchanged or "activated)
