Two questions about Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Starting to get ready for my trip and thinking about FP+ selections. If I look at Touring Plans it allows in their calculator that you can do Mine Train. Does MDE allow that? I thought it wasn't open yet with no set date. I'm going the first week of May. Does it seem like it will be open by then?

Also, I can't find height restrictions yet for it. My son will be 2.5 years old and around 36", anybody know if he'll be able to go on this, assuming it is open?

Height restriction has been released. It is 38".

No word on when it will open. They had been saying Spring 2014. I think they changed that to "late Spring 2014". Some things just say 2014.

Thanks. So my son will be too short and I guess it will be doubtful that my daughter will get to do it since we are there May 1st which I'd call mid-Spring.
