Two one-day tickets on the same day?

Can you enter two different parks on one day, using two different one-day base tickets (not two days from a multi-day tickets)?

It may be cost effective if you want to visit 2 parks only on 1 day in your trip. Purchasing a 6 day ticket and using 2 entries on one day is cheaper than a 5-day park hopper.

No, you may not, assuming you are talking about the 4 theme parks--to go to more than one of those parks in one day, you must upgrade to park hopper You CAN enter a theme park and a water park on the same day with separate one-day tickets (one theme park ticket and one water park ticket), however.

Yes.

The OP specifically mentioned they were using two different one-day base tickets.

Ok thanks! I'm curious about the fine print that says this - does anyone know where I can read all the ticket terms and conditions? Can't seem to find it.

It should be intuitive, not requiring digging into fine print, that a non-hopping ticket does not allow park hopping, especially since you can (with rare exceptions) convert it into a hopping ticket (park hopper).

(Short answer to the thread title issue: Yes) However with rare exceptions, for example, one ticket being for the Halloween party and used at the appropriate time, 4 PM or later on the party night, you do not want to do this.

Beware of trying to park hop with a non-hopping ticket if your My Disney Experience account has more than one ticket "in" it. Upon your tapping in at the second park the system might suck a day off of (and set the usage life timer ticking) on a different yet unused ticket in the account,.

(Short answer to the thread title issue: Yes) Two one day tickets (separate ticket cards or print-at-home papers or sales receipt entries) may be used at different parks on the same day. However with rare exceptions, such as one being for the Halloween party and used at the appropriate time, 4 PM or later on the party night, you do not want to do this.
I'd like to see the fine print since people are saying different things about the question I originally asked. I definitely know already (and don't need to see the fine print) that you can't enter two parks on the same day if all you have is a multi-day park hopper, or just one 1-day base tickets.

FYI - This is not something I want to do or would advise anyone to do. Just curious as an intellectual matter lol.

so i too am a bit confused on this question and answer, but feel we are in same scenario.

We have a 6 day, NON park hopper tickets...we do not park hop with the young kids. However, on one day of our upcoming trip, we plan to do a park in the AM, then a different park in the PM. Instead of purchasing PH at like an extra 400+ bucks, we just extended to a 7 day ticket at very minimum price difference. So 7 "tickets" for 7 separate park entrances during our stay.
Are there people with the understanding that you can't you use 2 different "park tickets" in the same day?- that park hopper is the only option?
many thanks as always.

Yeah, this isn't going to work the way you want it to. You can't "add a day" onto a multi-day ticket to try to go to two parks in the same day when its not a hopper. A 7 day multi-day ticket is good for one park entry per day on 7 separate days. It is not good for 7 park entries over fewer than 7 days.

Wait so if I'm a day guest and walk up to MK ticket window at 8am and buy a single ticket I can't later walk up and buy another single day ticket for the same day at another Park?

Weird has the original post been edited? I was sure the first time I read it it was talking about one days on a multi day ticket . If yiu have separate one day tickets, you can do that, but it would make no sense to do so since you can add a hopper for $60 while a single day ticket is over $100.

@juliekzp you can certainly do what you are proposing. I don't think there is any "fine print" specifying it, though. It would be like @Brett Wyman posted -- walk up to a ticket window in the morning, buy a ticket, enter; walk up to a different park ticket window in the afternoon, buy a ticket, enter. You are following the rules of the 1-day 1-park ticket. But it's not at all cost-effective. For example:
  • a 1-day 1-park ticket today costs $116.09 with tax
  • 2 of those would be a total of $232.18
  • However, you can add park-hopping to a 1-day 1-park ticket for just $60+tax, making a total of just $179.99 for visiting 2 parks on a 1-day ticket. Hopping can be added at the gate of the 2nd park, no need to purchase in advance.
I suppose an on-the-ball CM at the ticket window might tell you you can't buy a second 1-day ticket, and instead sell you the Hopper add-on. But technically there is nothing against the rules of using 2 separate base tickets in the same day.

Unless you use 2 MDE accounts, though, I don't believe you can pre-book extra FP+ for the same day using 2 separate tickets, it's a limit of 3 per day. You'd have to use a separate profile for the 2nd ticket to book additional FP for the 2nd park.

Enjoy your vacation!

Sorry, that won't work. WDW is well aware of this type of situation and it's not allowed. A multi-day ticket has x number of days entry, not simply x number of entries. If you wish to go to a different park, even just 1 day, you will need to upgrade to the Park Hopper ticket ($80 for a 6-day ticket); park-hopper is all-or-nothing, meaning the option becomes available for every day of a multi-day ticket and cannot be added for just 1 day. Otherwise, to save ~$400, I suggest re-arranging your plans to be just 1 park per day because you won't be allowed entry at the 2nd park without a hopper.

Enjoy your vacation!
