Bubble wrap to safely bring home glass figurines I want to buy and Photo envelopes ready for mailing so not only will I have some of my pictures back when I get home but my film won't have to go through the airport detectors.

Mary Ann, I use Snapfish. They provide envelopes, order forms and labels. It costs $2.99/roll for a set of 4x6 prints and to have the pix scanned into 'my album'. I brought the envelopes with me on our last trip, and it worked out great. For more info, their website is Snapfish.com....

I just registered for snapfish thanks for the inf. what a great idea!!! Will they just charge my ccaard and let me know the charges. thanks !

I second that about Snapfish -- I love them! I put the little film canister labels on my film before we leave home, and pack the film mailers. Then I just toss the postage-paid mailer in the mailbox at the hotel before we leave. The quality of the prints they mail you is *great," and having them in an online album makes them so easy to share with others. Snapfish is wonderful!! :)

It will be safe if you bring it in your carry on. The radiation level is not as high as the one that your checked bags go through.

I just read on the local news website yesterday that photo processing companies that rely on mail orders were meeting with postal officials. The reason for this is that the postal companies are proposing to bombard the mail with radiation to kill any antrax bacteria. This would then ruin the film.
Here is the web site below.

"State Company Working to Keep Film Safe in the Mail

(Manchester-AP) -- A Connecticut company that processes film by mail says its working with postal authorities to find a way to keep the film from being irradiated to prevent anthrax contamination.

Mystic Color Lab is one of three national companies that provides mail-order film developing.

Company officials met with postal authorities last week to discuss proposals to bombard mail with bacteria-killing radiation.

Postal officials are using radiation to sanitize mail impounded at various federal offices. Officials have said they will add eight irradiation-beam machines by early 2002.

Mystic Color Lab officials were concerned that its 500,000 customers would stop mail orders in response to the Postal Service's irradiation plan."

But they say postal authorities are taking their concerns seriously and are looking at ways to keep the film from being ruined by radiation."

Have you ever used the printed out mailing label? We're going to WDW next week, and I'm not sure I'll get my "kit" in time. If you've use the printed out mailing labels, what type of envelope did you use to send the film??

Thanks for the name of SnapFish!! I just had Yahoo Photos do some prints but they used FUJI film. Yuck Yuck!! KODAK is my choice, but I didn't bother checking before I ordered the free prints. I won't be using them again!

SnapFish is smart and RIGHT on thier home page BIG Kodak emblem and statement that they use Kodak!
