Two National Questions

First off, does anyone know how much of a "block" National will place on your credit card? I know they always put a large hold on your account and want to make sure I use a card with enough remaining credit.

Second, I have two reservations right now. One of them is about $50 less using that old old code from the now defunct club. ;_ Has anyone used this in the last couple of weeks with good results? I don't want to end up paying nondiscounted rates over a $50 savings but I'd love to save the money if possible. I can't get the rate that low using any of the current offers - I've tried. Of course if they ask for the old club card I can't produce it. What would you do?

Try rentalcodes.com for codes for National. They have some good ones now...we just got a full size car for 4 days for $99.81! The rates keep dropping so check back often.

They don't put a hold on the card for anymore than the rental amount, nothing extra.

They can and might charge your credit card for 50.00 if you don't cancel that second rental 24 hours before arrival.
