Two Mothers at WDW on Mother's Day PICS

Ok I read it all and I have to say, I was wrong, I wasn't at MK on May 12th I was at AK that day. Opps, oh well.

Still I loved  your report. Thanks so much for writing it. It just sounded like you and your mom had such a great time. What a wonderful mothers day.

I shared my idea about a parents only trip March 2007, now the whelles are turning in his head too. The big problem is who to wacth the kids (my inlaws will be down in Fla already.) Oh well. It is a lovely day dream, maybe it will be an reality. My DD heard us talking and said she doesn't want us to go with out her. Now we have to have private meetings about it and talk in code. ;)

Great trip report!! Aren't Mom's wonderful!!! They totally get it!

I was soooo lucky having a wonderful Mom. She paid my way numerous times when my kids were little and I was a single parent! Luckily, I've been able to reciprocate now that my kids are grown and she is on a fixed income!!

We just love Disney. :cool1:

Great report Robin!

What a wonderful bonding time with your mom!! :)

Great report- my husband and I are contemplating a childless trip next year and you may have tipped the scale...

Oh, funny story- I read how if you put in an odd time for the wake up call, you get Mickey, not Stitch. So I keep trying to enter 7:32 and it wouldn’t let me. What the heck!? :badpc: I get put through to a Disney operator, and she says, “Ma’am, you have to do it by 5 minute increments- 7:30 or 7:35.” She must have thought I was such a freak for saying "I want to get up at 7:32!"
This made me LOL. :teeth:

I really enjoyed your report! You certainly put in lots of detail and it was very interesting. Sounded like a great trip with your mom...you're going to remember this trip for the rest of your life...and appreciate the heck out of it.

The picture of you on EE was hilarious, btw.

I am going on a girls' trip with the mom and sis this October and we're eating at Chefs de France for the first time...I enjoyed your report on it!

Great pictures, great report. Don't ever second-guess your writing again!

Really enjoyed reading your trip report; the added pictures were great. My sister and I were at Disney at the end of April and I had to laugh as you mentioned the pretzel thing, the whole trip I wanted a pretzel; finally had one at Epcot; and my sister wanted popcorn; funny how we both kept putting it off. We also sat upstairs at Columbia and people watched; have to agree; some people just wear the wrong things to the parks; bathing suit tops to me are not acceptable; just my opinion; and I will never understand the groups of people that stop in the middle of the walkways and just chat away while others have to navigate around them!

Anyhoo, you and your Mom looked so happy as only Disney can make us!!

Thanks for sharing; I had many chuckles. :wave2:

Robin - Great trip report!! I'm so glad you had a good time.

That Panda picture is my favorite. :thumbsup2

Robin you did a great job writing your report! :thumbsup2

I am inspired to continue to "suggest" to DH a trip sans DS!

Who-hoo!! Great trip report Robin!! Sounds like you and Mom had a great time. And you deserved it girl - you've been through alot the past year. How did DH do with the kids at the zoo?

Loved the report Robin! Isn't EE great!? We went on it twice in March and plan to go on it again next week! :teeth: Loved the pic! What a classic! Trips without kids can be so much fun. Glad you and your mom got away for a bit, what a nice thing for her to do.

We also stayed in building 7 at POFQ in March, loved it there. 3d floor facing the courtyard.

And YES, it IS the People Mover! Always will be the People Mover to us! :)

Thanks for the report! Gets me excited about next week! :goodvibes

Great report, Robin :thumbsup2 ! I was LMAO at getting up at 7:32 :lmao: . Thanks so much for sharing with us :) .

He did really good! He took the 3 kids, our good neighbor pal (whose wife was giving a bridal shower that day, so she wanted him and their son out of the house!) and his 18 month old. It's nice that we have a car big enough now to pile everyone in!The only thing he forgot was sunblock, so everyone had pink cheeks, but that's ok. He even took them to the park the next day! :cheer2:

Bibbidi- Where are you guys going to stay this next trip! Have fun! Hope your family is doing GREAT!

Val & Hucifer- I felt like SUCH an idiot when I got transferred to a hotel operator. I mean, I'm a contemporary girl, and I was feeling pretty stupid that I couldn't program the wake up call! :rolleyes2

And to all of those thinking of taking a grown up trip, DO IT! You will have so much fun! Yes, you will miss the kiddoes, but it's really seeing Disney World in a whole new light! This was my 5th trip,, my 3rd trip grown ups only, and I felt like I was seeing some things in a whole new light. You are much more able to stop and really look at things you want to look at- I even noticed how all the lightposts were different in the various countries in the WS!

NExt month is Disneyland with the kids. It will be nothing like this last trip to WDW, I am sure. I envision this: Buzz Lightyear, Star Tours, Monsters Inc, and swapping off for the E tickets. Repeat. :rolleyes2 My boys love their Pixar and their Star Wars.

Thanks for all the great comments! :cloud9:

I must confess we used to do the same thing putting in odd times. We read that on the resort boards eons ago, I am sure! First visit we tried that we got NO voice, just dead air! I called and asked the operator and she informed me there was no such thing as Mickey wake up calls! :lmao: It worked the next day without her help! I think some of them are idiots, so don't worry about it!

Absolutely do this! We love our grown up only WDW trips and plan to do another one this fall. It really is like seeing a new Disney! You can feel like a kid yourself! :teeth:

Have fun at DL! We expect another trip report of course! :)
