What is the Backstage Tour and what is the Great Movie Ride?

Oh - and one other thing.. Is the parade worth hanging around for?

Thanks! :flower:

The Backlot Tour is a ride that takes you backstage on some really cool movie sets. You get to learn about how different movie productions work and see previously used movie sets. It is a really good ride that shouldn't be missed!

The Great Movie Ride is basically like a little tram ride through movies. You see different animitronics performing in movies like Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, etc. It is a really cool ride and it also isn't to be missed!

As for the parade, I haven't been to WDW in 5 years so I can't tell you how good the parade is. However normally, the parades are pretty good. :)

all 3 are not to be missed. we were there in jan. of this year, and the parade was lots of fun. all hot rod type cars, that have been turned into the disney theme for whomever is riding on it. the genie car is a hoot. doesn't take that long, and is full of characters. watch it down by THE HAT and you will be near the start.
i have great pics of the parade, but have no clue and am not the puter savvy to be able to post them here. if anyone wants them i can email them to you. quite a few so if your email can't handle a large file let me know and i will send them a few at a time.

We loved the parade also... my husband who could take or leave parades (including Spectro) has said that it's his favorite :rotfl:

Okay - thanks! I've added all three to my list.. :flower:

When we went in March of 2003 The Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade was by far our favoriate parade especially for my than 8 yr old son. Just arrive early and get a good spot of the parade route.

The backlot tour and great movie ride...any problems with young children going on them?? We will have a 22 month old and 4.5 yr old.

No, they'll enjoy them both. C.Ann..be sure to sit on the left (try to be first in the loading line. You see a lot more :) on the tram into the backlot tour). First you'll watch a little plane and boat movie that someone from the audience is picked to be on (standing in the front is always fun!), then you'll go load on the tram.
Have a wonderful time!
