two hotels....different seasons??

We are going Dec 16-25. We are currently booked at POFQ. I am considering splittling our stay between there and a deluxe resort but I need some info. If I do that mid-way, will I be charged a different price? We are currently booked under value season but mid-way we would encounter one of the most expensive times of the year. AND, do you have to make two seperate ressies when you do this, or do they make one and show the split? We have never split a stay before but thought WL might be fun for the holidays. We loved our location at POR last time, so we figured we'd try both. Any thoughts here? Thanks for any help!!!

If you switch to the WL on the 19th you should be ok, I believe the pricing change begins on the 20th. I also believe you have to make two separate ressies.

You will need to make two ressies. I am pretty sure that the price they charge you for your entire stay is based on the first day of the stay, so if you check in on a value day, you keep that price for the enitire stay even if it flows into peak season. It would probably be worth it to make the change on a day that is still in value season even if it is not the exact half way of your trip.

We're going from Dec 17 - 26. My reservation is for 2 nights at Poly (17/18) and then checking in to YC on the 19th. The 19th is the last night you can check into your 2nd hotel under value season rates. I would have liked to stay longer at the Poly, but then I'd be paying the holiday season rates at YC. And I had to book this as 2 separate reservations and put 2 down payments.

Thank you skiingwife!!! I thought that was the case. Well, we will either change totally to the WL or stick it out at POFQ. We stayed at POR for our last Christmas visit and loved the location, so we don't mind being there for the whole time. I understand Disney's reasoning but it sure makes it more complicated for us Disney loving nuts!!!
