Okay, you guys are doing a great job selling me on Fantasmic! I'm officially putting it on my must-do list! :goodvibes

I just have two questions...

1. How far in advance can we book dessert seating for Fantasmic?

2. Once you check-in for the dessert seating, can you leave and just come back before the show? Or do you have to stay right there so they don't give your seats away? How does that all work?

Thank you! :)

1. You can book one month in advance

2. Once you check-in, you return 30 minutes before the show you are going to see.

That's right. You can leave and come back. They start serving 30 minutes before the show. We got there about 15 minutes and were able to get two rounds of drinks before the show (way thirsty) and hot cocoa for during. (It was T'giving time). They ran out of plastic grocery type bags and we had 4 bozes of goodness. This time, I plan on sticking a bag in my backpack. It can also be used to wrap camera and phone in for SPlash Mountain! :thumbsup2

Oh that's good to hear! So how far in advance can I check-in for the 9am show?

Thank you for your replies! :)

You can do it in one month advance (for example: if your going to see Fantasmic! on September 12, the earliest you can call is on August 12) You can call within 30 days before the selected date, but it sells out very quickly if you wait.

The check in process starts at 8pm. Some people suggest waiting at the booth 2 hours in advance to get the front row seats. When I was there on Aug 16, I arrived at 7:40pm and got the 3rd row (i.e. the last row) close to center of the stage. It's great seats arrangement. CM advised us that if our view was blocked by people sitting in front of us, we could stand up to watch (as we are on the back row and no one is sitting behind us). We ended up sitting there enjoying the show without standing up. Hope it helps.

Isn't the whole point of doing this so you DON'T have to wait around for 2 - 3 hours?

I would just point out that the time of year/what night and which show plays a part in availability. What I mean is this: we are headed to DLR Sept 13-19 and I only just decided this week to do the F! dessert seating. I called on 8/22 for F! seating on Sunday 9/13 at 9pm. The CM I spoke with stated that they had "plenty" of availability.

I wouldn't count on this always being the case, but in slower times, and on less popular nights it is possible to grab seats less than 30 days out. However, if I were dead set on going, calling at 30 days would be best. :thumbsup2

I am new to DLR but a longtime WDW person. Thought I would let you all know that I was able to get tickets to Fantasmic Dessert for Labor Day 9PM show just last Thursday. I called on a whim for 4 tickets and got them, I was shocked.

That could be one motivation for choosing the preferred seating. When I went last week, we got in line just after 7:30 and got great 2nd row seats.

However, I did not pay just so that I wouldn't have to wait around. The dessert box, the guaranteed seat, and personal space were all motivations as well. Another advantage is the ability to leave and come back, especially with the 10:30 showing.
