Two days in the (BUSY!) parks, which one to do first?

Hi all,
We are planning a quick trip at a busy time of year. We will be in parks Mon Jan 2 and Tues Jan 3, no hoppers. Currently I have DCA booked for Jan 2 and DL for Jan 3, only chose based on historical crowd levels being a bit lower each day of that first week in January...

Anyone have advice as to whether this is a good plan? Or a reason to switch it up? We are planning to rope drop both days and part of me a little worried that kids will be tired on DL day.

We are going with two kiddos ages 9 and 12, they haven't been to DLR since 2017 when we came for 3 days and did both parks. They are keen for Marvel universe stuff at DCA and allll the rides/things at DL... We don't have genie+ added just yet but seriously considering it given what a busy time it will be and how rarely we get to DLR. We are on a tight budget so still on the fence.

TIA to all for any advice/thoughts!

Sounds like a good plan to me. I think DL is far superior to DCA, so if we had 2 days and no hoppers I would start at DCA (which will be fantastic) then finish at DL (which will be even more fantastic). Kind of like building up to the grand finale and save the best for last!
