My best friend and I are heading for a short stay in May! We'll be staying 3 nights at ASM Resort and purchased Park hopper passes for 2 full days in the parks. I've started planning but we keep going back and forth on a lot of the details and plans for where and when. The first day we're there, evening EMH are in Epcot and the second day are MK EMH.

I guess we're looking for some tips for how to hit the top attractions of each park in our short stay. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Pick your two parks for each day. Rope drop the first one, and make your FastPass selections for the second. Hop to the next one when you are ready. The only gotcha here is tiering, like at Epcot. You won't be able to FP both Test Track and Soarin', so if they are on your to do list, it might make sense to put Epcot in the rope drop slot.

It's doable for sure, but like PP said, pick your parks for each day and really have a good touring plan in place. If you hit a park at rope drop, be ready to hit up all the biggest attractions first since lines queue up pretty quick at some of them.

If you are up for late nights, keep the longest wait time ride for the last thing in EMH. I would save Soarin' and 7DMT. Just make sure you enter the queue by the closing time of EMH.

When in May? If it's May 27 or later that would make AK top priority for fast passes because of Pandora opening.

Keep in mind that some top rides have single rider lines that actually move pretty quickly. So if you run out of options planning with rope drop, fast passes and EMH, consider rides like Expedition Everest, Test Track and Rock N Roller Coaster for single rider. You can wait in line together and will get separated only at the last minute.

Yes except for Rockin Rollercoaster. I have found single rider to take FOREVER!

Are you two marathoners or work all day on your feet?

If not, you'll likely be tired and footsore by the second half of day two. Adrenaline and caffeine can only take you so far. With that in mind, I'd make your favorite park the first or second one, and save your least favorite for the second half of day two. Also keep in mind that as much as you want to, you might not make rope drop on day two if you close out the EMH park the night before. Don't push it. You'll have more fun rested and waiting in a longer line, than zombie-walking through a rope drop morning.

Depends on what you want to do. You should be able to do most of the major attractions but not the minor ones. One thing I've found about Epcot evening EMH is that it stays busy and you can still see long ride lines because there are limited rides at Epcot. But if you want to do evening EMH at Epcot then I'd do:

Day 1 - rope drop DHS (get there at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled open) and ride in order Toy Story, Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and Star Wars. You should be able to do all of those with pretty minimum wait and that's all we'd do at DHS (perhaps Great Movie as well?). Query whether you want to go back to the resort after DHS and rest for a couple of hours for the evening stay since the lines will probably be long by midday at Epcot. I'd save the FPs for Epcot and FP Soarin' or Frozen, ride Test Track single rider, and then ride some of the secondary rides. You might be able to get on Soarin' around park closing without much wait.

Day 2 - rope drop MK if they have morning EMH - you can get a lot done here. I'd get here 45 minutes before park opening and ride 7 Dwarfs first IF you are near the front -- I wouldn't spend a ton of time in any line first thing in the morning. I'd then ride Space Mountain (or this first if 7 Dwarfs has a long wait), Buzz, and perhaps Pooh or Peter Pan (Peter Pan will probably have a long wait by this point) if the line isn't bad. Then walk over to Frontier Land for regular park open and ride Big Thunder, Splash, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates. Jump on Jungle if the line isn't bad. Then I'd do Philharmagic and Laugh Floor and perhaps a couple of others if the line isn't long - Little Mermaid, perhaps Small World (I hate this ride). I'd FP Safari, EE and Dinosaur at AK, although you should be able to ride EE single rider without much wait (at least we've always been able to). Then go to the scary Bugs show, walk the trails, and Flights of Wonder.

We're planning on spending May 10 and 11th...barely missing the Pandora opening! It will be our first time at the F&G Festival in Epcot though, and I'm not sure how to factor that into our plans--is Epcot then a priority to spend longer there? Or will the crowds interfere with timing?

We're definitely not marathon runners, but we're both grad students who will be celebrating the end of term! We are planning on trying to make it to both rope drops and EMH, but will try to keep rest in mind! Wouldn't want to fall asleep on any rides!

This is fantastic! There aren't morning EMH listed for MK for our second day in the parks...we were able to secure 8:20am ADRs for Be Our Guest on both days and are planning on releasing one or the other depending on the day we are able to visit. In your experience, are early morning ADRs worth the earlier times to be in the park?

Thank you so much to everyone for your responses...this is my first "adult" trip to the parks, planning everything myself, and all of the input is VERY much appreciated!
