Before I go and buy these I just want to make sure I have this straight. You purchase two days, and you can use either of those two days anytime (they never expire). Then you get three days free which expire 5 days after the first time you use them? I just want to make sure I'm understanding that correctly. Thanks in advance!

No, the whole pass expires 5 days from first day of use.

This sounds to me like a dumb question, but one I'm afraid that will bite me if I don't ask:

The passes are for five consecutive days of admission. But you don't have to go all five days, correct? You could go on Day 1, Day 3, and Day 5.

I have this fear that I'll get to the gate on Day 3 and they'll say, whoops! You weren't here yesterday. See ya sucker! lol

It's not a dumb question. You can go as many or as few days as you like as long as it's within the 5-day consecutive period. So, if you first use the pass on Monday, you can go Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday but the last day of use would be Friday.

We have the passes but are only intending to visit for 3 days out of the 5. Buy the tickets, they are a bargain :thumbsup2
