Two cruise incentive questions

Add-onitis has hit! DH and I are discussing a 100pt add on and are interested in the cruise incentive.

1. Does anyone know what specific dates are being offered for this current incentive? (I've read that in 2009 the dates were all off-season)

2. Has anyone taken advantage of the cruise incentive and upgraded to a party of 5? How did that work? What were the extra costs involved?

You will have to call your guide as I believe as the incentives are given they may fill up a specific date. When I called they had several March/Springbreak dates available but it all depends on the date you want adn how many people have already added on and requested those dates.

Hi Vicki! We're investigating . My willpower is weak though as I'd love to have more points to work with and get a chance on a cruise!

Our guide showed us the chart last Saturday and except for the Dec 18,2011 which is available only for cash purchase, it looked like a lengthy list. We were initially only interested in the December 2011 dates. Somewhere in our discussion we decided we rather take the cash discount and the 2009 points.

You're right, it's cash discount or cruise. I was just saying that that we took the cash discount and actually added another master contract to get the 2009 points. Our contract is a March use year. BUT did consider the cruise incentive because our family is considering a Dec 2011 WDW trip to include a cruise. But for the date we wanted and considering airfare, it made more sense to take the cash discount. Almost bought 200 points to get the west coast cruise but I could see my DH eyes start to bulge

When I called our guide, I was specifically interested in summer dates since we have school aged kids. There was only one 3 night cruise and one 4 night on the list for the entire summer, and both dates are at the very end of August. I believe spring break was also blocked out. It didn't work for us, so we ended taking the webcast cash off incentive instead.

If this is the case then we'll probably be going with the discount too. DD13 will be a freshman in HS by then and who knows what her schedule will be like and I'm sure she won't want to miss school even for WDW.
