Two credit cards same room???

We have a two bedroom at Grand Floridian this summer. We are bringing my brother and his wife. Can they set up their own credit card on their MDE so we each have our own credit cards linked to our Magic Bands?

Yes. Just go to the front desk and they will set it up.

Just be sure to double check after the first day to be sure it’s correct. When they did it for me, they put my DDs card on my band and mine on hers.

It was simple to change but the first day charges had to remain as it had.

Not DVC, but a cash resort room experience: My sister and I checked in. I put my cc on my MB at the front desk during check-in. Day one, it worked correctly, I was charged using my MB, and I never bothered to check it after that. Mistake. Because from day two onward, the charges from my MB all went to my sister's cc, not mine.

This was in 2019, so perhaps they have a better handle on this now, but since then I just use my cc instead of my MB.

Another successful DP here. I've traveled with friends multiple times over the years and had different credit cards linked to different guests keeping our guest folios separate. I never had a need on a DVC reservation, but I imagine it would be handled the same way.

Will you be doing a split stay? If so, I probably wouldn't use MB charging until I officially checked into my new resort on transfer day and set up the charging privileges again. I know splits happen a lot with DVC and I imagine this could get messy.

No they do not. Our recent trip we had issues with this. The beginning of the trip our charges were going to our card, then our card disappeared and was using one for another party in our room. We caught it and had to have them fix the issue.

My daughter and I were able to separate her charges by putting her credit card on her Mband at CR front desk even though we were staying at PVB. (we were eating/drinking at CR at that time). No problem at all, worked fine January 2022.

Will add to the chorus of check your charges - my friend did this last time we stayed together (my DVC room with my card, she added hers to her MB only), and every single one of her charges was sent to my card. On my birthday. A lovely gift! It was a quick fix, though - definitely shouldn't dissuade you from setting it up
