Two connecting rooms at POP or 1 room at POR?

We plan on going back to Disney in May 2006. There's 4 of us, DH, DS, DD, and myself. DS will be 9 and DD 6 on our trip. No way can they sleep in a bed together cause both of them toss and turn all night. So I was thinking about 2 rooms that connect at POP. But DH and I have been talking about the dining plan that Disney offers in a package.
How would something like that work if we want a package to get the dining plan, but want two rooms?

Or would it be better to get 1 room at POR? We plan on staying 8 days.
