Although it's not definite yet, my BF and I are looking into going to WDW in early January. Since our ADR window is coming up soon, I need to start thinking about which restaurants we want to eat at. I know January tends to be not so busy, but I figured I might as well start thinking about ADRs anyway. We'd like to go to at least one or two restaurants that we haven't tried yet, so I'd like some suggestions please!

Restaurants that we've been to/will be going to in August: San Angel Inn, Tokyo Dining, Sci Fi Dine In, Ohana, Yak and Yeti, Coral Reef, Akershus breakfast, Boma, Le Cellier, Jiko

Restaurants that we definitely want to try in January: Crystal Palace breakfast

So any suggestions of restaurants for two college students that we haven't tried yet? Thanks!:thumbsup2

I'd recommend Sci-Fi at MGM and Biergarten at Epcot. Both have great food and very interesting atmospheres. Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom is also great, but it's really small, so if you decide to go there, make ADRs as soon as possible.

My BF and I, both college students went last Jan from the 4th-11th. We LOVED Raglan Road. It has great food and a really fun atmosphere. We also loved Teppen Edo and Ohana. Both had amazing food and atmospheres as well! We also liked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, I thought it was very good food and a fun character meal. Especially if you love Mary Poppins like I do! :goodvibes Have a great time! Early January is really the best time to go...

I just graduated college and my BF and i took our first trip there just about 2 weeks ago and we LOVED it. i would suggest 1900 park fare breakfast, as well as cinderellas royal table breakfast (not sure if youre looking to do character breakfasts but both are on the dining plan and the food is great)

teppan edo is really good but nothing special really, the atmosphere is awesome. loved le cellier, jiko and boma.

California Grill at the contemporary was delicious, i'd recommend that for sure especially because its so simple to get to being right on the monorail

You must also try Kona and kouzzina..my bf (25) and I (21) always have great meals at both places

Of the places you've tried..we also loved ohana, boma, le cellier, and coral reef :thumbsup2

DHS-50's Prime Time Cafe

Epcot-Le Cellier or Akershus

MK-Crystal Palace

AK-Tusker House

Resorts-Cape May Cafe, WCC, 1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana, there are lots more that are good.

My DD and her boyfriend (ages 19 & 21) enjoyed 'Ohana, Cape May Buffet, Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood and Paradiso 37. They both also loved Earl of Sandwich!

My DH (27) and I (26) really loved California Grill on our last visit. It is only one of two restaurants we're repeating this December. The food was wonderful and the view was spectacular. It's a little pricey but it was our favorite meal of the trip.

Restaurants we also liked were: Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, Kona Cafe, and breakfast at Boma. On our next trip we're trying Chefs de France and going w/ friends and their daughter to 1900 Park Fare. We have an ADR for Le Cellier but I'm still not sure if we're keeping it.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! Two more restaurants that I've added to our almost-definite list are Bistro de Paris (for my BF's birthday) and California Grill (for mine). As for the others, we'll definitely have to choose some less expensive ones. :rotfl:

It's so hard to decide! I wish we could eat at them all!

One of my favorites is Le Chefs de France just because it's something I definitely can't get normally. I really recommend it particularly if you're trying to expand your horizons. I can get hibachi and sushi and Chinese and German and English and steak and seafood, etc, but I can't get French and we've always had a great time, great food and service and atmosphere.

That said, this trip we're adding lots of new places to our faves of Le Chefs de France and LTT including Crystal Palace breakfast before park opening, Akershus, Biergarten, Rose & Crown, Raglan Road, Garden View Tea room at the GF, California Grill, and Mama Melrose :goodvibes

Biergarten in EPCOT and the Earl Of Sandwich in DTD. Sci-Fi at HS.

My fiance (24) and I (23) went this past December and absolutely loved California Grill for dinner and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. Excellent food, fun atmospheres - we'd go again in a heartbeat!
