Two Character Meals in a Day- Need to cancel one & find a new experience!

We have a Tusker House early lunch (11:15, so we get breakfast ending, lunch starting) and Chef Mickey's (7:45pm) on the same day. We love both... CM more out of tradition- not for food, and TH because it's unique with longer character interaction. But I wasn't able to space them out and my ADRs ended up on the same day. I think we will be character'ed out.

If I cancel one of them, which should it be?

And, what is a fun alternative (can be QS, TS or experience: "get X to eat and ride the boat to Y while you eat it...")??

We are 59 days out and staying at BLT, so ADR availability is only getting narrower.

It's just DH + 2DS: 15 & 8 & me, so we are flexible on times.

Would love some new and different ideas!!

TIA

I did that too! Looking at our ADRs I was worried about over doing the character meals (mom and dad are on vacation too ;) ) I cancelled Chef Mickeys and kept Tusker House mostly because we are relying on bus transportation and I wanted less hassle.

For another "experience" we booked Teppan Edo in WS. I hear great things!

We have Tusker House breakfast on the same day as 1900 PF dinner. I'm keeping both.
That said, other days we have CG brunch, Tiffins, MP, etc

Cancel Chef Mickey and head over to the Grand Floridian. Grab a QS meal and a snack from the Ginger Bread House. Enjoy the Christmas decorations at the monorail resorts.

I was able to get Beaches & Cream, so maybe we can have "dessert for dinner," and check that out- we have never been. Hard to part with CM because it's such a hallmark of my boys' childhood, but they're growing up and our plans can too. (Not that we adults don't love a great character experience! I just think one that day will be plenty, and TH has more interesting food.)

Keep the ideas coming, though, in case there's something fun I'm not thinking of! And thanks, katmatry, that's a great idea too- but being at BLT @ CR, we can do that on a ride back one night.

They have actual food at B&C, too, so no need to just have dessert. The EP resort area is really nice at Christmas time. Make sure you go into the BC lobby to see the carousel and walk over to the Boardwalk for the evening entertainment.

Another idea is to take to boat from CR to WL and eat at Whispering Canyon (it's SO fun! ask for ketchup!) or over to Ft. W and eat at Trail's End and maybe book a holiday sleigh ride to see all of the Christmas decorations at the fort.

Whispering Canyon for sure. Loved the all you care to enjoy food AND milkshakes. If you don't mind a loud, fun atmosphere this is the place for more of an "experience" without doing characters. Or try Hoop Dee Doo! It's a fun show and comfort food.

First of all, I see no issues with 2 characters meals in a day so if you really like both go for it.

Then I saw your update that you were able to snag a Beaches & Cream and I love that place so really good choice and a hard to get ADR so I would stick with that one.

As far as other options, a boat ride out to WL for Whispering Canyon is well worth it or if you wanted to snag a signature at one of the monorail resorts, that would be a great experience overall. Maybe Cali Grill at fireworks time, if you can get the ADR.
