Are there kids clubs activities onboard whe the Dream is docked in Nassau?

Do you need to rent umbrellas at CC before you get there? What about cabanas?

Pretty sure, but you can check here to see what sort of activities have been available in the past: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/personal-navigators/

You don't need rent umbrellas. You do need to rent Cabanas (done when your excursion booking window opens online). Unless you're Concierge or Platinum chances of getting a cabana are slim.

There are no umbrellas available to rent on CC. There will be many available on the beach on a first come, first serve basis. There are cabanas available for $$$$ rent, but reservations for them typically get booked up very quickly by those who can do online check in earliest: concierge guests and platinum level Castaway Club members. A newbie sailing non-concierge has almost no chance of being able to book a cabana on the family beach. The ones on the adult-only beach might be a bit easier to reserve, however. If you're dying to rent a cabana, I suggest arriving as early as you can at port, and checking to see if there was a cancellation.

With the exception of the nursery, all kids programming moves to the island for the day with Open House mode onboard. That means no dropoff care at the Club/Lab as parents must accompany the kids for Open House.

As mentioned, no umbrellas to rent. They are provided free on the island, first-come first-served. We've always found plenty by moving down the family beach near Pelican Plunge.

Enjoy your cruise

Does anyone know if DCL keeps a wait list for the cabanas? We're cruising for the first time and would love one.

If there is a wait list, it's only once you board. You can't get on it pre-cruise. Although, I've read that sometimes they don't do it.

Bummer.
We cruise Feb 4th
I'd suggest you check the excursions page for your cruise (once your window opens) frequently. Sometimes people book a cabana and then change their mind. Especially in the last week before your cruise. Then, check at the Port Adventures desk when you board to see if there's a wait list.

I want to make sure, you do know cabanas are $549 to rent, right? I apologize if you knew and/or if that isn't an issue, but since it is your first DCL cruise I figured it might be worth pointing out before you start stalking the excursion page :)

$590.18 now, or $643.93 peak pricing March - Sept. Gaah!

This is true for the day at Castaway Cay, but not for the day at Nassau. When the ship is at Nassau, all of the ship's kids clubs will still be open.

Yep, sorry. I completely read that as CC. The Club/Lab are open, or at least one will be, while docked at Nassau.

I did too. And answered just as you did (thinking both questions had to do with CC). Mostly because the title says the questions are about CC.

But I caught almost as soon as I posted, and changed my answer.

Yes, I do realize :-( It is insane, but alas, still on our wish list! Thank you for clarifying, wouldn't that have been a shocker if we hadn't realized and actually got one, lol
