I know this is a stupid question, but do they allow you to get a two bedroom and a studio instead of a grandvilla. We have more than 8 people and we just don't want to use all of our points for a grand villa.
you could make 2 reservations for the same time for those, just might be a little hard to get the same dates for both, but if you book right at the window, you should be OK
We have always booked multiple rooms and have never had a problem. We used to get a 2 bedroom and a studio but since DGS was born we now book a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom. Just request they be close to each other when you make the reservation if that's what you want.
Oh yes, that's what is so fantastic about DVC. You can reserve the room size that you need, the number of rooms for your group and at the time of year you want to travel.
You are only restricted to what is available at the time that you call, and the number of points you have to use.
Be aware that this causes the magical disease of addonitis. We have caught addonitis several times and are happily living with it.
I am slow this morning because it took me a while to figure out addonitis. But since I am taking my family with us, I will know afterward if I will get addonitis. Thank you everyone for the information.
Just one word of caution. I assume that you'd like the two rooms to be close to each other. Don't make the mistake that we made a few years back. We got a two-bedroom at the BWV with a boardwalk view and three studios with standard views (to save points). Well guess what - the different views are in different wings so the studios were a long ways away from the two-bedroom. Make sure that the views you pick are the same for all of your rooms. That way the CMs can get them close together. Otherwise you put the CMs in a box as far as meeting your needs.

Of course, but which resort are you thinking of? That will make a difference for the requests you make. For example, if you are booking at OKW or SSR, you will want to ask that the rooms be in the same building as well as near each other. If you are booking at BWV or AKV, make sure you are booking the same catagory of room so you can also request being near each other.
Also, you might look at the GVs at OKW if you have 11 month booking there, since the points are significantly lower, and a Sunday to Friday stay is quite reasonable.
Our home is SSR, but for this trip we are looking at OKW. Point wise it is less doing studio + two room instead of grand villa. Although a grand villa is still a lot less points than other resorts.
The studio was no where near the 2 bdrm and my sister in the studio was in a real snit that they got a much inferior room. (It was a sister, family thing.)
