We're staying at BCV in a two bedroom in a few months. Will the second bedroom have a door to the hallway? It is essentially a studio, connected to a 1 bedroom unit--right?

Also, I was so hoping to get a new refurbished room, but it's not looking promising. Anyone heard anything on the progress with the rehab over there?

BCV has both dedicated and lock-off 2-bedroom units. If your reservation is for a lock-off, it will be a studio & 1-bedroom w/interior connecting door (2 exterior doors). Otherwise, it's a dedicated 2-bedroom and will only have 1 exterior door.

Your reservation will indicate which of the three 2-bedroom booking categories you reserved. Michael described the lock-off and the dedicated comes in two flavors:
1. 2 queen beds in the second bedroom
2. 1 queen bed and 1 queen size sleep sofa in the second bedroom

HTH.

Hmmm, my reservation says "two-bedroom". We're just two adult couples, we don't need the double queen beds. Would much rather have the couch/queen bed combo. Should tell them that when putting in our room requests? Also, will the 2nd bedroom have a kitchenette?

A dedicated will not have the 2nd kitchenette. But at BCV, due to an architectural quirk, some dedicated rooms have 2 queens in the 2nd BR and some have the queen/sofa bed set up. As far as I know, you have to book the two queens to get that arrangement.

If you want a kitchenette in the second bedroom, you need to request a lockoff. But, usually when you book the villa, it is either lockoff or dedicated. There are 25 dedicated with two queen beds. Something like 45 or so dedicated with one queen and a sleeper sofa (no kitchenette).

The three different 2-bedroom configurations at BCV are not requests, they are booking categories.

OK, so we have just a plain "two-bedroom". That means we're getting a queen bed, sofa and no kitchenette. Right?

I booked at 7-month point, and had to take what I could get. How many lockoffs are there at BCV?

You only have the kitchenette if your room type is 2-bedroom lock-off. I believe the 2-queens option includes that in the room type.

I believe you should have a dedicated 2-bedroom (only 1 exterior door) with a queen bed and sleeper sofa in the 2nd bedroom.
