Super fast check in at 12:30 pm, not a soul at the front desk. Room was ready. All the parks were practically deserted. Got to the MK for the first time in months. It is usually so crowded.Went to AK at 10 am next morning got onto the safari ride, walked right into the ride vehicle from the front entrance, literally no wait at all. When we got off the ride, there was still no line at all. Wait time was 5 minutes. Took a few photos of the Everest construction and then spoke to the nice CM at Kali River Rapids. She told us that people had been on the ride in the last couple of days when the temperature was 40 degrees! There were a handfull on while we were there,temperature was around 50. Still to cold for that kind of ride if you ask me! Epcot, of course, was just about deserted, walked onto everything except MS. We won't do that one anyway, not our cup of tea. We walked up to any restaurant we wanted with no PS, and no wait.. Rode El Rio Del tiempo in Mexico four times without getting off, and we were by ourselves each time. At MGM, we even breezed thrugh the security check, nobody on line there either. Went on The Movie ride, Star tours, Muppets, Indiana Jones, and the only line, if you could believe it, was at the Little Mermaid show. Found out the bad news that animation had been shut down, and they still had the tour, but avoided the part where the animators used to be. I guess what it boils down to is that January is still one of the best times to go, even though it was a little cool in the AM. Going back February 14th for my birthday. Really looking foward to another trip.
