Two AK planning questions

Headed to AK in September with 4 and 7 year old. We have a 10:30 Tusker House reservation. Can I safely get a 12 pm Festival of Lion King Fast Pass or cutting it close?

Also have MK fireworks party that night at 7:45. What's the latest we can leave AK?

Honestly I wouldn't. It might be fine but with a 10:30 reservation at any restaurant, I wouldn't count on being seated until around 10:40, and you don't want to have to rush a character meal, if seeing all of the characters is important to you (it is to me - that's mostly what you're paying for).

Ok thanks-- trying to avoid too much criss crossing the park and seemed like location-wise that would be a good time to see show. But think you may be right...

A character meal can take 45 minutes - a character meal can take an hour and a half.

You have to be in the FP line between 15-30 minutes before show time - so that's no later than 11:45. And given you are going to have to make a bathroom pit stop before the show - you'd need to have the Tusker House receipt signed by no later than 11:30. So - this is all too close.

To get to MK for and be down Main Street by 7:45pm? From AK gate to waiting for bus - 5-10 minute walk. Waiting for bus - assume worst case - 20 minutes. 25 minute bus ride. 15 minutes to walk from bus, get through security at MK. 5-10 minute walk to get to party check-in. I would suggest that you be exiting out of the gates of AK by no later than 6:15 pm. Longer if someone needs to pee or buy a drink. Only less if everything is perfect timing, no lines, etc.

I wouldn't bother with a FOTLK fastpass. That's the worst waste of a fastpass I have ever done. All the best front seats are reserved for people with disabilities, so you might as well just get in line and get what you get.

With those ages, I'd use my fastpasses on KS, NRJ, and Kali or Meet Mickey and Minnie. The seven year old might love EE.
