So we all want to see this, but I have a DD4 coming along and I'm worried she'll get really scared. I've never been to Universal before so I don't know how scary this is. Is there a better place in the theater to be in where the effects won't be as strong? What kind of effects are used? Is it really dark? Thanks for your help.

Just stay at the back and you should be able to shield her from most of the effects. There is mainly wind and rain but a little bit of thunder and lightning too.

Took my DD several years ago when she was about 7. The pre-show completely freaked her out. The scene where the little girls dad gets blown away did her in. So, she left with my mom while the rest of us saw the show.

Next day we convinced a CM to let us bypass the pre-show and just see the actual "Twister". She was fine with that part. Thought the wind and flying debris was great.
