Does anyone know the age/hight requirements for the kids slide on the Magic? My 5 year old (then 4) loved the Mickey slide on the Dream and wants to go on the one on the Magic but I'm afraid he won't be able to. I hope he can he was saying the slide was one of his favorite things on our last cruise.

Q: Are there are any age and height requirements for the pools?
A:
The following age and height requirements apply to pools on Disney ships:

Quiet Cove Pool: Reserved for Guests 18 and older
Mickey's Pool: Designed for children ages 3 years of age and older (swim diapers are prohibited) Donald's Pool and Goofy's Pool: Designed for younger Guests and families (swim diapers are prohibited).
Whirlpool Spa tubs located by Donald's Pool and Goofy's Pool: Adult supervision required for guests under the age of 16.
Mickey's Slide: Children must be between 4 and 14 years old and no greater than 64 inches in height.
AquaDuck on the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy: Designed for adults and children who are at least 42 inches in height or taller.
AquaDunk on the Disney Magic: Designed for adults and children who are at least 48 inches in height or taller
Aqualab on the Disney Magic: Designed for children ages 3 years of age and older (swim diapers are prohibited)
Nephews' Splash Zone on the Disney Magic: Designed for children ages 3 years of age and younger (swim diapers are required)
Mickey's Splash Zone and Nemo's Reef: Designed for children ages 3 years of age and younger (swim diapers are required)
Twist 'n' Spout Slide on the Disney Magic: Riders must be between 38 inches and 64 inches in height
Pools on Disney Cruise Line ships.
Important Information About Swim Diapers
The United States Public Health Service requires that only children who are toilet trained are permitted to enter swimming pools and spas aboard cruise ships.

Children who are not toilet trained are welcome to enjoy Nephews' Splash Zone on the Disney Magic, Nemo's Reef on the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy, or Mickey's Splash Zone on the Disney Wonder where they must wear swim diapers. Swim diapers are not permitted in Goofy's Pool, Donald's Pool, Quiet Cove Pool, AquaDuck, AquaDunk, AquaLab, hot tubs or spas.

Please note that snorkel equipment and swim goggles are not permitted in pools, hot tubs or water-play areas.

Well that's really disappointing, when I asked him what he was most looking forward to he said the slide :( it really sucks that they made the "kids" slide so limited for younger kids.

Don't hold me to this, but I could have sworn the early Magic cruisers after the re-imagining mentioned the sign had a tape across it, meaning they removed the maximum height and only the required minimum remained in place.

Yes, I just did a search and Emily (Silverfox97) did confirm and posted a picture showing the picture of it and only the min was there - not the maximum.

Not sure if it's changed recently and we'll be checking out the Magic in a few weeks so we'll see :)

Having been decked by a rowdy 8 year old while playing with my toddler, I can tell you that Nemo's Reef is not 3 and under. It's 8 and under and even that is not enforced unless you ask them to enforce it.

Good news, I just measured him and he is just over 38". He is short for his age so I assumed he would be too short

When were on mid November, I stood and watched as they removed the taped off max height piece and replaced it with a piece that had no max height. The main sign still had the max height taped off, that will probably stay that way for a while. It appears that they made it a family slide like they had promised. It was fun, surprisingly fast, but only went once, due to loving the aqua dunk way more.

On the Fantasy my son was not tall enough to go on the Mickey slide. I was very disappointed as we measured him at home and he should have been tall enough but the CM said no. I actually tried with a second CM. He was a sliver off. She turned him away too. Then we got to Castaway Cay and he was tall enough to go on Pelican Plunge. So my child was not able to go down a basic slide that ended on a flat surface but could go down a twisty enclosed slide that was fast and plunged into the ocean. :confused3 Made absolutely no sense.

My ten year old has already blown past the maximum height.

Are they really strict on the height requirement of 48 inches on the Aqua Dunk (Magic)? I will have one very close to that height when we sail in April. Thanks!

We had the same thing on the Mickey slide - measured at the doctor right before and was tall enough but they turned her away. She was disappointed after waiting in line. We didn't try again. We finally found the line on the wall for the min height and she was right below it-barely!

Yes, but I saw a lifeguard do everything he could to get a young boy who was right at the limit measured so he could ride, and gave him an armband so he could go again.
