DC math teacher, wife, mother of two boys, works with sons schout troop, Marching Band and School Play in her spare time
DS in charge of shipping for a major corporation, wife, mother of two girls, works with her church and her daughter's scout troop in her spare time.
Last year my husband decided that he wanted to go the Boy SCout camp in NM called Philmont. He would be going with my younger son and scouts from our council. They would be going July 2006 for 15 days. My younger son loves hiking so it was a great place for him to go. My younger son would then go to his regular scout camp and then another week with his dad for Eagle Scout week. So I was going to be alone for 4 weeks (As alone as you can be with a 21 year old who has a girlfriend)
I was supposed to take a class with a friend but her husband got sick so that has been postpponed until next summer.
In May I was talking to DS and she offered to have me go with her family to Italy where her daughter was studying this summer. My husband wanted me to see Itlay with him so that was out. Then I suggested to DS that we coulod go to DW together but when I talked to her a week later her husband said he wanted to go and I didn't want to be a 3rd wheel. So I was resigned to having a quiet summer at home.
Last Saturday DS called me and was telling me their plans for Italy. Then she asked me if I still wanted to go to DW. She needs to use her vacation days and her husband does not have as many as she does. I told her I would talk it over with dh and get back to her.
I don't know where we are staying(She is a DVC member). I almost have airplane tickets but she hasn't called me back yet.
I don't know how this is going to work. Our families have traveled together but she and I have never traveled together. She started working before I got out of college and when I got out of college I was engaged and got married a year later so there was not time to travel (although we went to DL for our honeymoon).
We are only going for 4 days but I have a few things that I want to do. I woulod like to go to tea at the GFbecause with all guys it is something that I know that they woud not do. I would like to see Fantasmic again because I have only seen it once and my husband hates to wait so I saw it with a friend a few years ago. I also want to see WIshes again. I saw it last year but not in the best location.
A lot to do in a few weeks.

(I have never stayed there and I can't wait). She also told me that she booked one ADR for us. She booked tea at the GF for us
She and her husband did it last year and when they saw us later that day we all agreed that it would have been nice if we went together because even though her husband enjoyed it, it really would have been nice for us to do it together and now we are.
