Hi, I've won a local competition for a family ticket to Twin Lakes in Melton Mowbray.:thumbsup2 We have never been before and wondered what it's like. Also, would we be better visiting on a Saturday or a Sunday to avoid the crowds over the festive season?

We have been a couple of times but only in the warmer months. The main rides etc are outside but they have a few indoor areas that have a big soft play area and some smaller rides. It is quite spread out and they also have a small farm area.

The food options aren't that great - just some fast food counters in some of the indoor areas. We always take a picnic and sit outside - they have picnic tables etc - but not sure this will be an option at this time of year.:rotfl2:

Hope this helps.

Thanks.:goodvibes I am a picnic queen, so we will be taking one anyway - rain or shine.;)

it's a 15 min driv from me and we go there quite a lot. no major rides but lots of stuff to keep little ums amused, my dd13 is not into it anymore but young one is. they have a meerkat family and a few farm type animals. they have a pirates water ride...me and DH love this as it is so far removed compared to POTC that you just have to laugh.

Thanks Andrea. We will be there in a couple of weeks. Do you think Saturday or Sunday would tend to be quieter?

I'm sure my younger two will love it but DD (10) is already too cool for school.:cool2:
