Twin beds/Making a queen

Just wanted to get your opinion on this.

When my husband and I were on our honeymoon, we had the twin beds that were made into a queen bed. However both twin beds were on wheels. We pushed the beds together, however they were always being pushed apart. We took the wheels off and tried that one night, we still were pulled apart. To make a long story short, we did everything to be able to have a bed that would accomodate both of us. NO SUCH LUCK. On our honey moon we ended up sleeping in seperate twin beds. This was at a resort in Jamaica, not on a cruise ship.

So...........how did you sleep with the beds being pushed together? We just want to know if we are in for a second sleeping disaster.

I've read about this in relationship to other cruise lines but if that is the case on Magic they've fooled me. We've slept in a queen Cat 6 twice now and it has slept like a solid queen bed!

The twin beds on the Disney ships are always made up as a queen <I>unless</I> you request otherwise. They are not just twins pushed together - they "lock" together and are made up with queen bedding. So unless there is something wrong with the particular bed, it should (and does for me) sleep like a normal queen bed.

Can you feel the seam down the middle where the twins join?, I always take up more than my fair share so just wondering lol!!.

I couldn't, didn't even think it was 2 twins until taswira's post. Just asked DH who is more likely to notice something like that and he said he didn't remember it.

It never felt like twins to me, and it shouldn't. If you have a problem with the bed on the Magic or Wonder, just speak to your room steward and it will be taken care of. DON'T try to reconfigure the bed or remedy a problem with it yourself. If it <I>feels</I> like twin beds when configured as a queen, then the room steward needs to fix it.

Out of 23 cruises, there was only one time I ever felt the separation...it was on the first night, and I found out the next day that it was because the bed needed repair. The stateroom hostess had reported it at the end of the previous cruise, so they fixed it the next day and it was fine for the rest of the trip.

By the way, when you put two twin beds together, you get a KING, not a queen. So if the beds together make a queen, they're smaller than regular twin beds.I have a king sized bed, and our box springs are two seperate twin sized box springs and the king mattress sits on the twin springs. NOT that it matters, I just wanted to point that out..

We had a cat. 6 room in July and the bed was much wider than the queen size we have at home. Sure felt like a king size bed to us! LOVED it!

I also think it seems bigger than a queen, but DCL calls it a queen. You would think if it was really larger, they'd want to advertise it.
