Hi Lurker here - Just wondering (and hoping not breaking some unspoken thread rule...) how many people loved the books but thought the movie sucked? I am in that camp. I am hopeful that the next movie will be better, but in general I find that movies made from books do not come close to the enjoyment I get from the book. The closest I think a movie has come for me is the Harry Potter movies, but I still like the books better. Anyway, just wondering? :confused3

i love when he's sitting with Bella's dad waiting for her to be ready for prom. They caught that awkwardness perfectly, I was laughing so hard.

Me!!! I was sorely disappointed in the movie. From what I've seen of the next one it looks so much better.

I mean, we all swoon at the meadow scene in the book. How could they just ignore it like that in the movie?

My favorites are the scene at the Bloated Toad (I love when Edward says 'I don't have the strength to stay away from you anymore'), and Vampire Baseball!

Just wanted to share my picture of Taylor Lautner when i saw him on Sunday. I would post the video, but I don't want to blow your eardrums out :P

He's so cute when he smiles..

I loved the book (I like Twilight better than the other 3)...and when I saw the movie I tried not to compare it to the book, because it's a different medium, and books never translate to the screen exactly. I love the movie too!

I just posted that one of my favorite scenes of the movie is Vampire Baseball...well in the book, that part didn't do anything for me. But in the movie, the way it's shot, the way Edward and Emmett collide mid-air, the way Jasper works the bat, the music...really cool IMO. Books and movies are DIFFERENT! Lesson for today. :teacher: :)

DutchsMommy.......are you in MA?? If so, we are neighbors!

I too, was disappointed in the movie. Then, I just took it for what it was, and I really really love it now, EXCEPT for the meadow scene. I will NEVER like how they killed that scene!

I have high hopes for New Moon! Fingers crossed!

vampire baseball was absolutely, hands-down, my favorite scene. As soon as I saw it I was just DRAWN into the screen. They did a great job with it!

The other movies, with a new director will be much better than the first. :thumbsup2

i love when edward takes bella to school and everyone is staring and that smile... :faint:
then he says, I'm breaking all the rules now anyway, since I'm going to hell...

I like that scene as well but my favorite scene in the movie has got to be the restuarant scene. When he tells her he feels very protective of her and that he does not have the strength to stay away from her:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
