WARNING: That link goes to a gillette razor ad.

Oops. I saw the title when I clicked on the link before the video popped up and assumed it was dirty. Didn't realize it was an ad. :upsidedow

:lmao:

YOU GUYS CRACK ME UP!

LOL Welcome back!:woohoo:

The other issue is people who are always talking about how horrible it is that Bella isn't confident yada, yada, yada. Hello! She is 17 years old! She's a stinking high schooler! I skipped high school, so went through all the teenage crap in college, but I'm sure it was similar. Your body is changing, your hormones are running amok, you're starting to become seriously interested in the opposite sex, it's a rough age. I don't know anybody who didn't have these types of feelings about something when they were a teenager. That's why I like Bella, you can identify with her even if her choices are not hte choices you would make.

That's also whey I like the 5th Harry Potter even though a lot of people don't- Harry becomes a typical teenager! It makes him relatable. It's stupid (IMO) to expect a character to be perfect, they are human after alll.

And can you imagine how hard it is for Edward? Stuck forever at 17 (no thank you!). Sort of in this limbo between old man and teenager. Never moving forward or changing, never having another person to share his life with like the rest of his family. Despising what he has become. I love how people call his relationship "unhealthy" or compare him to a stalker like it's some horrible thing. Hello, he is not even human! Okay, I feel better! :lmao:

Wonderful analysis! I really enjoy your POV.:thumbsup2

It's in the script, so I'm guessing they'll say it.
I haven't read the script (: No sense in ruining it already! I want to be surprised.
That is just hilarious! Could Robert be any sexier? :confused3

I'm with you! I don't think people understand the whole series at all until they've read Midnight Sun. It actually makes me wonder if that's the difference between people who just kind of like it and really like the series.
I really love the series without having read all of Midnight Sun. I started reading it but for some reason I couldn't get past the first chapter. It just seemed sort of FanFiction-y to me. (Not a word but ok). I know I need to read it, but I don't want it to ruin the image I have of all of them.

I completely agree with you. I am the same age as Bella and everything you described about the "typical teen" is so true. That is why I love Bella, I could slip easily right into her shoes. I have grown up with the Harry Potter books and me and Harry aged literally together. I feel as we are like best friends, and I am Hermione. *Yes I am a major dork.*

And as for their relationship, Edward is stuck at the worst age. He wants Bella but he is struggling with being close to her. He wants to keep her safe to show he cares, because really he is afraid to show her in any other way. Their relationship very well may be unhealthy, because they need each other so much that it causes them severe pain to be apart. Which is what is going to kill me to watch in New Moon. But he certainly is not a "stalker" as some people have said! Kind of like you can't stalk the willing. (:

Sorry, I stated that badly. I meant for the people who didn't completely love the series and ended up only liking it, if Midnight Sun would make a difference for them. Knowing more about Edward's character and insecurities and understanding his motivations better. One of the most surprising things I learned from it was how quickly he fell in love with her, I had no idea when I was reading Twilight that it was that soon.

Aw, how cute! Ok maybe I should read it now :lovestruc

Happy Birthday! (Awesome cake).

The other great thing about MIdnigh Sun is that since it is told from Edward's perspective you see his family and get a glimpse of their personalities from somebody who knows them and can see their thoughts, and you see waht they do in their private time. It also reveals Edward's unique role within the family. In some ways he is like the leader of the "kids" because he was the first, can read minds, intelligent, etc. But in other ways he is the youngest and there is this kind of dichotomy where the others see him not only as kind of a leader but also as a kid- Emmett in particular.

You also get to hear what the other characters are thinking which helps to explain their motivations. Coach Clapp in the badminton scene I think is one of my favorites.

I can understand what you mean by it being "fan ficitony" but what you need to remember is that it is still very much a rough draft and was not meant to be released in this form. When and if she finishes it I'm sure that it won't have quite that same feel.
