Very cool! I'm always impressed with writers.

One of my friends, who is a co-worker and a technical writer for our software company, wrote 4 young adult novels. It was so much fun to give her my comments on each one. She even let me help pick the title of one of them.

The rest of my co-workers were like *ugh* young adult fantasy novel, and you read it? Yep, all 4 and my sister and other friends loved them too.

I know, I'm horrible fan! :rotfl:

No, don't say that! I'm counting on you winning the Ellen contest. I figure she'll have a lot of the cast and Stephenie Meyer on her show and have you be on there with them. Then you'll get to go to the New Moon premiere. And we'll all go, oh my gosh it's CP!! :)

After Twilight, Hunger Games, and Harry Potter, I think I like YA novels the best!

Ok, Wide Awake rocks my world.

Have you read Diary of A wimpy Kid? My DS10 loves them and I have picked them up too, very cute and funny!

I browsed her site, she seems like a nice lady. It must be so exciting to be published, she is lucky to have you as a friend.

I haven't read that, I'll have to get it sometime! She was VERY excited to be published.

Wide Awake is so good...she really needs to branch out from fanfic a bit and write something she can get published. She has such a knack for an engrossing story even if she still isn't the best writer yet.

I can't believe Wide Awake hasn't updated yet. ARGH and my class starts tomorrow...well, sacrifices will have to be made if it's posted tomorrow!
Sacrifice!! I hope it's updated soon!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl::lmao: That's perfect, maybe someone should send those to the author.

:rotfl:

I actually decided to take a look at the fanfic site....whoa....I started reading The Submissive....very interesting...of course if DH saw what I was reading he would freak out! I sometimes read historical romance books...and you know how steamy those get....he picks them up...turns to a page....and tells me I am reading porn :rotfl2:
My DFi would  bug out!! He tells everyone how sweet and innocent I am, lol, if he only knew!

The Submissive was very hard for me to read..........way out of my comfort zone. I am enjoying the Dominant more though..........as EPOV is always better! :lmao:

Wide Awake is still the best IMHO! Followed by The Wreckage! I just hate waiting for the updates! :rolleyes1
The DOminant is amazing, I'm enjoying it more than the previous one. Have you reviewed? She sends out really good teasers.

Bite the bullet!!

Mrs. the King, I'm going to start your fic when I get home today. I have so much free time today that I can actually sit and enjoy it!:woohoo:

So I entered that Ellen contest as well, but here's where my problem was. For some STRANGE reason, I thought that at the bottom, where you write why you're the biggest fan - well, I thought it said 1500 words or less. No problem for me, I love writing! I had TWO PAGES typed out! It was amazing and witty and I think it perfectly described my love for Twilight.

Then I go back and it said 1500 characters not words. I basically had to cut my entire essay back 500%. *headdesk*

Ellen does not allow me to express myself with words. I felt very restricted. :headache:

I'm counting on one of you guys to win so I can live vicariously through you! You had to write an essay? Geez... :)

The same thing happened to me! I had to edit my whole essay and it lost all it's wit! :headache:

BTW, I posted this in the other thread (I think) but it got lost in all the excitment of chaning threads.

I BOOKED A ROOM AT THE FORKS MOTEL LAST WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I have to decide if I'm gonna be taking a tour or if i'll drive everywhere myself...hmm...

Just thought I'd let you all know...

The font used for the Twilight "Team Edward" merchandise you see everywhere is a font I (under the nom de plume Kronos) and Justin Callahan created some years ago called "Ravenscroft". It's based on the Haunted Mansion logo (specifically, the one on the WDW attraction poster) and you can download it absolutely free here:

http://www.mickeyave.com/fonts/ravenscroft/

Feel perfectly free to use it on your websites, t-shirts, stickers, journals, etc. Just don't sell the font or try to pass it off as your own; you didn't pay for it, so neither should anyone else. :goodvibes

(For the record: the font was chosen for the Team Edward merch without my knowledge or approval -- not that they needed it -- and I'm not seeing a dime from sales of the merchandise that uses it. It's also used by Disney for a lot of their Haunted Mansion merchandise, for that matter.)

Thanks! That's awsome!

I hear what you're saying but I have no idea how to make them. I have just gotten them from other websites I have never made my own. :sad2:

Do you know which websites?

YEah CP!! Your gonna have a blast!

I read the submissive yesterday. and I am giving out a very Snarky Thank you to whomever posted it. :snooty: I got absolutley nothing done. and I have The Dominant open on the computer just waiting. :rotfl:

I didnt associate the characters much with Twilight. I was almost done with it when i realized that Jake the dog was refering to Jacob Black the wolf. :lmao: It was that good of story.

But i have to get some things done today. Sheeeh.

Mrs. The King, I have read part of your stuff. its great. :thumbsup2 if there were more hours in the day!!

I just get too wrapped up in reading and the house just goes to you know where.:rolleyes1

While we're pimping fics...

*coughs and points at link in her signature*

I'm horrible at multi-chapter fics because most things can't really keep my attention for more than 3000 or so words. Not anything I write, anyway. Reading others is an entirely different story!

So, I have about 5 or so small one-shots if anyone is interested in reading and giving feedback.

I'm actually going to write one final piece and enter it into the fan fiction contest for TwiCon (Twilight convention). First place gets a lot of fun stuff, including two front-row seats to the meet and greet with Christian Serratos (Angela), Billy Burke (Charlie), Peter (Carlisle), Kellan, Jackson, Ashley, Michael Welsh, and possibly a few more people.

So extra eyes and reviews would be amazing!

FINALLY!!!!
