DID is so hilarious and there's only 10 chapters so far. If you have time, you have to read it. And it's not one that I'm dying waiting for an update for like WA or Office.

ff.net is blocked at work and I don't think it's on Twilighted, which isn't blocked, so I'll have to start it tonight when I get home.

Not everything's for everyone. One of my friends really didn't like it because she said why have vampires and waste them. There is WAY too much hype. I love it but wish it was more of a hey, I love these books and the movie instead of 12 year olds running around in Twilight t-shirts.

I'd suggest reading midnight sun before starting new moon...

I agree, read Midnight Sun. If I had read it after Twilight I would have been so much more in love with Edward, and not want to KILLL him in New Moon as much.

I like geology, had 4 years of it through high school and college (yep, I'm the annoying one on car trips that says, hey did you see that monocline?) but didn't really think I could get a job I'd like in it, so went with computer science for my degree. Still like it, wanted to name my dog after a mineral or something like that so went with Jasper since all the other minerals sound so girly. Now everyone thinks I named him Jasper since he has blond curly hair and I like Twilight... He's 7 though, so that would have been a bit of precognition for me...

I should get a little black dog that's hyper and name her Alice.

Here's a little OT Disney funny. I live on a street that has the same name as a hard to spell Disney princess. The ONLY time I haven't had to spell it out for someone on the phone is when I was making my Disney reservations. And she asked if I moved to that street for the Disney name.

I think as the author, you get to respond if you want to.

ARGH, I kept seeing all these great reviews about the fanfic Frenemies but she took it down to make it a publishable book. Shoot, I'd read that but I want to read the Twilighty one too. Maybe I'd better start actually printing out Wide Awake.

if the author can, they should. AG responded to one of my reviews.. i felt like a mini superstar. i think it makes your readers feel special and loved

Great update on Homeward/Hoboward/Trainward Mrs the King! Now I'm thinking he's a lost elf, all naturey and sparkly.... I read way too many fantasy novels.

I like that (as Edward tends to be) he's so well-spoken, it's great coming from an unexpected package. It reminds me of my high school honors English teacher. He had a job maintaining our ballpark field during the summers. One time the news interviewed him about something with the ballpark and were gobsmacked that this groundskeeper was so eloquent with a large vocabulary. The expression on the interviewer's face was priceless.

Great Drink You Alive update too! The bison cracked me up (I'm not sure who's seen a wild bison close up here, but they are HUGE and mean). I am so going to start calling my 12 year old niece PITA.
