I leave for a few days and you guys go through 10 pages.

Kiddies back in school today and are now on the way home.

I NEED to go to Target now and get that car. Does it come with sparkling vampire too? Now go get the Edward doll and have fun .

Someone was speeking of facebook. I have one and love the fact that you can send someone a cullen and send twilight gifts to each other. I also took a which twilight boy is for you quiz... Guess who I got ... EDWARD  :lovestruc . My friend keeps getting Jacob and is so not loving that quiz.

Ok off to get the little guy form school .

Mrs THE KING! I am schock...

well, not really. ;)

Aww.. thanks for commenting guys. I appreciate it :goodvibes

It takes a minute to get through the first parts... once the main character gets out into the desert you're in business. I laughed, I cried, I thought. I loved it. It's very thought provoking. My DH liked it, too.

Thanks for the review! I may have to consider picking it up from the library, or if you all think it's worth it, buying it with my gift card left from Christmas.

Very punny! :thumbsup2

Like I said, sometimes, I try.:lmao:

I find that my girls get along best when they are both "against" me! Having a common enemy draws them together. lol

Oh great! Something to look forward to if we decide to have another child. Them ganging up on us. :rotfl2:

I was afraid to start The Host as a friend of a friend or something didn't like it :rotfl:

Me, too. Nice to see you over here, hon. :goodvibes

I love that these books are able to cross over and be adored by so many, and still maintain integrity.

One of the things I love about reading this thread is that you've all made me realize just how wide spread the love of this series is. Mothers and daughters enjoying it, and even men reading it, too! I think that's one of the reasons people compare it to Harry Potter. Although totally different, it has some of that widespread appeal.

They'd need a blue banana with a promise ring. ROFL

:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:
Entertainment Weekly had an absurd quote in their mail section after their big Twilight issue hit stands. Someone wrote (I paraphrased) "The Twilight books are nothing more than a scare tactic for abstinence."

Um, seriously? :rotfl2:

I went to Disneyland yesterday (crazy amount of people!) while we were standing in line for IASW my husband asked if I wanted a frozen banana! :worship: :worship: I love it when he listens to my crazy stories about this board.

Bless him. :lmao:

I'm still thinking about "tag" or "badge" ideas but here's one that I had maybe... what do you think:

Prefers Frozen Blue to Chocolate, anyday

or

Save chocolate, eat a frozen blue banana TODAY!

Dunno... just thinkin!

Ok, my electric blanket is all pre-heated, I'm off to read my first Sookie book! TTFN

You crack me up. I know I've said it before, but you do. :lmao:

While procrastinating, I have been playing with my matchbox volvo. I keep re-enacting the racing scene in Port Angeles. Yeah, I am lame...and proud.
:dance3:

You should be proud. If you can re-enact that, that's pretty impressive. Do you have other cars for the volvo to zoom past?

I really had no desire to get on facebook. Too easy for people I'm not interested in hearing from again to find me, you know? But you all are making it VERY tempting with the talk of all the flair.

I'm going to start the Dead Until Dark .... possibly today. I was going to go with book two of another series I'm reading but now I wanna know what hte fuss is about. LOL I did see the HBO show (one episode) and I was like...

:scared1: Now that's VAMPORN!

QUOTE]

Thats what Dh and i call True Blood..Vamp Porn lol. When we started watching i was telling a few friends (guys and girls) about the show and i said how i really enjoyed it and it was like watching Vampire porn..well everyone of them watched the next week ( they all wanted to see for themsleves, those dirty birds :rotfl: )...i laughed so hard, but they all loved it.

Now off to see if i can get a Blue Banana of my own....:rolleyes1

I couldn't agree more. I basically hide out on FB...you can be seen (or not seen) and to be honest, there are many, many folks I'd rather not reconnect with. Luckily, most from my distant past don't know my name or email address so I can lurk in the shadows peacefully. The Twilight flair is worth it. :lmao: Maybe one of our brave DIS/Twi friends will start a little BB group on FB. :confused3 ;)

So it's possible to hide out? Can you explain this to me? Can you basically stay hidden, but accept friends of your choosing. I'm such a newbie on the whole facebook thing, but the thought of all the flair really gets me. :lmao:

Well, when I set mine up, I made it so private that nobody could find me. So, I guess it can be done. :rotfl: I actually had to change the settings to allow folks to add me (there are some people I actually want to talk to ... present company included of course!) You can even have your privacy set so that you can't be searched for. I don't know much but I've figured that much out. :rotfl:
Oh no you didnt!!! ::::waving finger:::::lmao:
MMMmmHmmm I did! ::yes::

Get ready sister, I believe you have a friend request waiting for ya! :rotfl:

I just sent you a request from Kim Swann, and anyone else that would like to can send me one as well.
I am really new to the whole FB thing, but if I knew how to set up a group I would set us up a Blue Banana Gang group.

Interesting. Maybe I'll have to take a look.

Thanks for that. Neat to read the different things they'll be in.

OME I created a Blue Banana Gang group on FB! :lmao:

I say rent it (my DMIL says "borrow" but I always call it renting because I inivitabley have to pay a late fine and libraries always cost me money. But anyway, I say rent it from the library and see if you like it before you buy it.

Not that it isn't good but if you can get it easily and free.. :confused3

I had to buy Breaking Dawn cause ....well, I COULDNT WAIT and my DH didn't want to drive 30 minutes to the nearest boondock library with a non-holdable (meaning no sure thing) copy!

When the series dies down some my DMIL will get me the other books. I have her as my "book pusher" so I'm good. :cool1:

I like my facebook to be kept for people I "used" to know. That way I keep it tame. They don't need to know how nutty I've become. :rolleyes1

I don't go on much and I just got my account recently (like last month) but I'll display my flair with pride (when I figure out what it is and how to get it)!

P.S. I'M LOVING THE SOOKIE BOOK!!

This hit me in the face right away:

8. "The Unborn"
Five words why Twilighters will see this ghost movie: Cam Gigandet in his undies. Four words on why their boyfriends will, too: Odette Yustman in hers. And the allure for everyone else? It's a freaky flick boasting icky bugs, creepy kids and a horrific scene with the glory hole from hell. Those looking forward to Cam playing a kind, sympathetic boyfriend might not want to watch this clip, but we can all look forward to seeing him alongside Gary Oldman, Meagan Good and the rest of this impressive cast when "The Unborn" haunts theaters January 9.

:scared1:

That trailer freaks me out! IT makes me think of you guys IMMEDIATELY. It's so funny!

A Twilight-Inspired Mini-TR

So here is where I celebrated Christmas with my Step family near Coos Bay (the coast of), Oregon. This area is very special to me because it is where I went when I was making a HUGE life change. It's a story that might sound slightly familiar to you guys. I picked-up and left my ex boyfriend and moved from hot, dry, arid, and over-crowded Las Vegas, NV, to start a new life in this cold, dark, green, wet, small town with no job, money, or plan. I took with me only two things: my 1 yr old daughter and my 5 day old daughter. They were interesting times. Ok, enough about me... the point of the story is.. this place is SO Twilight-Y!

Here is the view from the cabin we were all in. My step family own alot of property out here and they have their family reunions out in the woods at this place.

They call this a creek.. I call it a rushing river but that is neither here nor there.
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-16.jpg

Here is the view as taken from the outside crossing a wet, scary bridge.
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-15.jpg

come on Mom.. come with me across the bridge of death
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-14.jpg

Those wet slats of rotted wood should hold you!....it'll be FUN!
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-8.jpg

Seriously, it was terrifying. In the video you can here me screaming

Bailey says, NO WAY
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-10.jpg

You can do it, mom... just put one foot in front of the other
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-12.jpg

pay no attention to that pesky rushing river underneath there.
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampgrou.jpg

Ahhh... what I won't do for my Twi-Dis Buddies. The Official BBG DIS Trip Reporter NEVER TURNS BACK!

There were so many beautiful places to hike. The paths went along the creek and climbed up and down the sides giving way to breathaking views.

we decided to go towards the meadow!
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-7.jpg

I couldn't believe that there was a sign for "The Meadow".. I just loved it! :rotfl:

first we would have to cross a slightly sturdier bridge of death II
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-6.jpg

the moss and the greenery are looking very Twilight-y
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-2.jpg

Do I dazzle you? (I'm trying to recreate the sparkle scene)
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-17.jpg

when my DH goes all Vampire on me
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-3.jpg

we decide we better turn back before things get out of hand :rolleyes1
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-1.jpg

There's one of those views I was talking about. What you are seeing above if you look closely is my DH's blue jacket and my DD behind him on the bridge heading back over to the cabin. It was exquisitely beautiful and green. All in all it was an awesome party and an awesome trip. I'm so lucky to have family living in such an awe-inspiring place.

I hope you can all take your own Twi-TR sometime very soon!

So wait... is that to the ACTUAL Meadow? Or just a coincidence? :)

Good point. I'll have to check and see if it's on a waitlist.

When the series dies down some my DMIL will get me the other books. I have her as my "book pusher" so I'm good. :cool1:

You have a book pusher! :lmao: That's too funny. I wish I could trade books with some of the ladies I work with, but we don't really read the same things.

Oh come on Mel...become a part of our sad little group!!!:confused3 :worship:
