Sorry I haven't been in here today girls! I finally decided to sit down and do my Disney trip report! XD

Well, this is a giving bunch.

Bunch.

Of Blue Bananas.

I'm so punny. ;)

:lmao:

:rotfl2: LOL so funny.....

So last night my sis and i were talking about this thread..she doesn't post, but reads because she thinks it's the funniest thing around...
Anyway we were talking about the Blue Banana gang...DH (like Tofu's DH) asks why is it called that??? Sis and i laugh (like little girls) and he's like Vamps ..pause..blue banana..oh Shan you have really lost your mind..lol

Of course, there is summer to look forward to! :goodvibes

Summer's around here are very loud. Since I'm technically a stay at home mom, I usually keep my nephew to help my b.i.l. out with day care cost. My nephew and my youngest DS argue over anything and everything. However they are each other's best friend and want to be with each other all the time. Over Christmas break it got so bad one day that I made a "no talking" rule. If they wanted to play XBox360, they could not talk at all.

I haven't told my husband about the whole blue banana thing yet.

Actually, I'm trying to convince him to go see Twilight with me, although I'm sure showtimes are really limited where we are now. And it doesn't take much convincing, I know he'd go, but we need to "coerce" ;) my parents into watching DS for us.

It's already posted here!

That's nice of you to help out! And isn't it funny how they're best friends but can fight about everything? Boys. Something for me to look forward to, I guess. My son will be four in February, so we're not quite to that stage yet. Mostly he just argues with us. ;)

Travelmel,
Thanks for sharing the pics and story. Loved it!

I am just starting the Host now and it seems like a good book but sadly there are no vampires. I will report back when I am done with it.

Thats is really nice of you to do...oh and i know about being loud!! lol I have 3 girls 7,6 and 3, and they are the same way. They are the best of friends but argue over everything..then if DH an i try to seperate them, they get angry with us..lol:confused3 :)

I'm really looking forward to hearing your opinion on it.

That sounds like my 3. Although mine are all 3 boys ages 11, 10(on Jan. 8th), and 7. My nephew is an only child, and so my DH and I have always stressed to my boys to "treat him just like another brother". In fact if my s.i.l. didn't want to be there for my nephew's first trip, I would take him with us. My DH thinks I'm crazy b/c he knows they will mostly likely argue over everything. I swear I think they are in training to be trial lawyers the way they go at it sometimes. Their biggest problem is that they both think they are always right. Then sometimes their fights are just too funny, and I have to make them leave the room b/c I am laughing too hard. One day they were fighting over the existence of the time space continuum. My nephew was convinced it was something that my son had totally made up. I even had to get on line and prove to him that other people knew about it, and it wasn't just something my son had made up.

I'm not very fond of Bill in the Sookie books either-I like Eric! Now the Bill on True Blood-I get that whole attraction a little better! I've read the first 5 of the Sookie books-I'm trying to draw that out a little longer since I know I'll have to wait for book 9. It's hard enough waiting for Midnight Sun!! I hope Stephenie finishes that.:worship:

I liked the Host but it took me awhile to get into it. I'm not usually a sci-fi or fantasy reader but I love Stephenie's writing. There's no Edward in the Host :confused3 so you have to get past that to enjoy it.

yeah...Bill on the show..I like. Bill in the books, not so much...he's always so serious and uncharismatic. Eric is so much better!!!! Now I might be run away from this thread with flames and pitchforks...But I like the Sookie series better than the Twilight series. They are more well written, I love the fact that Sookie is no nonsense and can get herself out of stuff. They are definitely more adult...definitely...there are some pretty steamy scenes in some of the books, let me tell you...That Charlaine Harris knows how to write some sexy scenes!

Now don't get me wrong...I love Stephenie...but I've been harboring this secret for long enough..lol.

Oh, that's just too cute. Unfortunately, I'm all too familiar with this. In my husband's family, they will argue just to argue.

As a matter of fact, arguing is their major form of communication. That and being really, really loud. God bless 'em. It's just the way they are. :lmao:

I totally agree! I love the Sookie Stackhouse novels- and I'm Team Eric as well!
You have to not compare them to the HBO series though- that just gets frustrating....I'm looking forward to the new book in May.

OK. I want to be one of the cool kids on this thread, a "Cullen" as it were...

Can I add the dancing blue banana to my signature? I don't have room for the cool ID, but think I could fit the banana in somewhere.

I think the Sookie series is great, but Twilight rules for me! I'm Team Eric, or Team Quinn!

I am a lurker on this bored, but I want a blue banana too! And, I have to confess, I haven't seen the movie, worried it will taint the books I love so much... :worship:
