So, I have bought and read all four books in one month. It would have been faster, but I have a job, two kids, a husband, etc. I am sooooo addicted! I am really glad I found this series when all four books are already out or it would have killed me!

I have to ask though, I just got my girlfriend hooked on them as well. She is spending all her spare time reading too and gnoring family, job, etc.

So my question for you is . . . Is that right to suck her into this affliction just because I want to discuss these books with someone? Would a good friend really do that to another?

I love all the photos though. From what I can tell so far, I think that Rob does have that crooked smile thing down!

Welcome to all the newbies! It is an obsession. I am not big on fantasy or romantic fantasy but I love Stephenie's writing. I forget that they are vampire/alien stories-they are just so good.

First off, I think Stephanie Meyer has created the perfect situation with the Twilight story. She creates this amazing hero and because of the nature of this hero, she can change the rules at will. There are no human limitations with edward. He can appear, disappear, move away, come back, live forever and be the most beautiful man who ever lived, along with his beautiful family because they're vampires. these stories suck you in so deeply that you're not merely suspending disbelief, it almost makes you believe it. She's brilliant.

Secondly, the wonderful smell that the Cullens' have, I'm surprised no one has tried to create a perfume/cologne inspired by the descritions in the books. In New Moon, it's mentioned a few times that the Cullens have this sweet, intoxicating scent. Even Jacob describes their scent as sweet and icy.
Anyway, just some musings as i'm re reading the series. I'm about three quarters of the way through new Moon!
How many of you all have read it more than once??

I'm listening to them for the second time on audiobook. It's kinda of neat to hear them read by someone who was probably directed on the right tones and inflections. However, nothing compares to actually reading them for the first time!!
Once the collector's version of Twilight comes out next week, I will probably read it again before the movie comes out!! Yeah, I'll admit it...I'm out of control!!

I'm addicted too! I admit it. I read all 4 books in 1 week and 1 day and I work full time with a DH and 2 kids. LOL. They would be watching tv and I would grab a book. I would put them to bed and grab my book. I also hid it under my desk at work a few days. I am just finishing reading them again now (more slowly). I also love the draft of Midnight Sun that Stephenie Meyer linked on her website (the one that was illegally distributed). I really hope she changes her mind at some point and finishes it because I loved reading it from Edward's point of view. I cannot wait to see the movie.

According to reports, there is a tiny bit of that scene at the end of the trailer coming out tomorrow. Kind of a tease.

Thanks for the pic's Caribbeanprincess!! Is that wood panel house with all the windows supposed to be the Cullen's?? If so, I thought it was white? Doesn't look anything like what I pictured in my head.
