Has there ever been two more bumbling, incoherent, clumsy, uncomfortable, non-charismatic, idiots than Kristin Stewart and Rob Pattinson? I guess they are in need of a script at all times. I feel sorry for them. And thanks "RobPat" for dropping the fbomb that was not bleeped while I was sitting here with my ds. Not cool.

I was just saying that to my dd. So awkward! And what is up with all the messy hair??:lmao: I am getting so old!!

i've never actually seen a film with robert pattinson in it, but i saw "adventureland", and kristin stewart is the most dull, lifeless, couldn't-act-her-way-out-of-a-paper-bag actress i've ever seen. it's almost as if she's having a difficult time staying awake long enough to grace us with her screen presence. her eyes are always half open, and she seems to be terminally bored. what a waste of space.

The whole show was an absolute joke. I remember when it used to be fun and cool. I guess I am officially old, cause watching tweens voting for Twilight ad nauseum (emphasis on the nausea) for HOW many years in a row now?? has gotten so ridiculously old. I long for the arrival of Breaking Dawn:part 2 since it means the world can finally move on from Twilight.

And kristen Stewart I just don't get. She is so unappealing and I haven't found her in a role yet that I didn't detest.

Just my opinion.

I completely agree. I can't stand either one of them, but I just don't understand why Kristin Stewart is even an actress. She's horrible.

What are they on??? Not that I'd look...:lmao:

I never got the appeal of either of them. They look pasty and unattractive.. what's the deal? :confused3

:lmao: Not laughing at you, it just struck me as funny (vampires....pasty...)

To be honest, I was very disappointed when I found out who was playing Edward. I think Robert Pattenson looks like he's deformed - even HE has said he thinks he looks like he's deformed. He reminds me of Lurch.

And I agree - they always looked like they had gas in the movies. Every time they talked they would screw up their faces and pause several times in a sentence......it was painful to watch. And, YES!!, Kristen Stewart always looks on the verge of passing out or falling asleep. Loved the books, the movies are pathetic, though. The only things I liked in the movies were the all the BAD vampires (well, hello there, James :goodvibes) and I did like Dr. Cullen, Alice, and Rosalee. Jasper was painful to watch, too, but at least he was SUPPOSED to be repulsively awkward.

Robert Pattinspns face looks like it got stepped on and smushed in. I think you're Lurch comparison works well!

Another oldie here. I happened to catch 10 minutes of those awards and couldn't take it anymore.

I have been walking around for a very long time, thinking it was just me that didn't get these two. I am so glad to find out differently. I guess if this is what the younger generation finds attractive and appealing and talented, I am so very glad that I am getting old. I think my mid life crisis just ended.

I could not agree more. There is just something AWFUL about Kristin Stewart and EVERY SINGLE TIME you see her, in any part or anywhere else, she looks like she just .....well it isn't DIS friendly, smoked some wacky tobaccy!!! And Rob Pattinson is a hideous creature. My DD11 says the same thing about both of them, so I don't think it is an "old" think. DD DESPISES the Twilight series (books and movies), so I guess that has a little to do with it!

Personally for me, the disgustingly awkward look worn by Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) must be attractive. I find him VERY cute!!!

Whats`wrong with being pasty/pale??...Iam very pale skinned and so is my red headed son...i didn't realise that was so unattractive?:confused3

I find it lame to hate people just because they are awkward. Do you hate someone because they walk funny too? Are they hurting anyone?

I love them all the more for it and find it refreshing that they aren't like everyone else in Hollywood. Who needs cookie cutter blondes with fake ****s when you can have people that don't take themselves and Hollywood so seriously.

Yeah, Kristen is just so awful, that's why she won Best Actress at the Milan film Fest for her role in Welcome to the Riley's .:headache:

:thumbsup2 You said what I was thinking.
Plus Kristen isn't used to this fame stuff, she is used to indie movies.

I'd have to agree. Real people are sometimes awkward.

As for the swearing, I'd expect that from MTV.

Kristen Stewart always looks uncomfortable at any awards or interviews. I think she just doesn't like the whole adlib thing. It's painful to watch her be so uncomfortable.

And like clockwork the sycophants swoop in to defend!

My sister is a pale skinned red head and gorgeous. Robert Pattinson looks like a lumpy corpse, even when he isn't in makeup. But hey, maybe that's why they gave him the role?

Think I'm lame all you want. No skin off my nose. I think the whole Twi-nonsense is lame (and yes I have read all the books AND seen the movies IN the theatre). We've all got our own opinions eh?

As for the MTV Movie Awards, for me the gold standard of that show (and the host) was Mike Meyers when he did his Lord of the Dance spoof, and the show where they gave Godzilla the lifetime achievement award. Funny stuff.

Last night was one long, LAME ad for this Teen Wolf show they were shilling.

I am so white I'm almost translucent. Unfortunately I don't sparkle, as I am sure it would amuse my kitten.

I'm old enough to remember being excited over watching MTV movie awards when Tom Petty was the big guest, singing "Free Fallin" and it was a HUGE deal that Axl Rose of Guns 'n Roses came out to join him partway through the song. Oddly enough, the line he came in on was "All the vampires, walking through the valley..." It stuck with me enough that I remember it all these years later. The awards are sure not what they used to be in my opinion, although having my beloved Foo Fighters perform was the saving grace.

I read all of the Twilight books, enjoyed them all but the last one. I've seen the movies (lukewarm opinion of them) and really didn't care for much of the casting except for James in the first one. I don't have that much of a problem with Rob Pattinson, but I can't make up my mind about Kristen. I sort of think they always look like they have tummy aches. Maybe that is how you act for "passion" in films? I remember seeing Kristen in Jimmy Fallon a while back, and she looked very pretty, but walked so slumped over. (she was wearing a strapless dress and had her hair up.) I sort of think she always looks like she just doesn't care. Maybe she doesn't.

I did see her in Adventureland, and didn't mind her in that. (But I think Jesse Eisenberg carried that movie, so maybe that helped.)

My 11 year old daughter hates the whole Twilight thing (I'm glad). My 11 year old niece loves it.

Wow calm down. Go pet a horse or something. Yes people are allowed to have difference of opinions. I don't see where anyone was being disrespectful. And since I doubt that Patterson or Stewart read the DIS boards so those with a different opinion aren't really sychophants now are they?

When I read the books and the description of Edward was this incredibly handsome young man, I was very interested to see what young stud would be chosen for the movie role. I was surprised when I saw the first picture of Patterson. Not what I would call incredibly handsome, but okay. I see Twilight books and movies as pure entertainment and fluff. Nothing that is going to change anyone's lives, but to keep them amused for a time. If the newer generation finds these two good looking and good actors, great! I'm sure some of the actors/actresses of my time and before are now looked at as a little stiff and bumbling.

I go into these violent convulsions when I run into anything related to Twilight... R-Pat, Smeyer, Kristen-I-look-so-bored-I-might-die-right-in-front-of-you...

I just don't get it all. More than anything else, I don't understand the YA genre. Why can't teens read the same books adults read?? OK, I suppose there could be an argument made that they need "age appropriate reading material".

But since when does "Age Appropriate" = shallow, trite, cliched & astoundingly poorly written?? Seriously, Stephanie Meyer is a disgrace to writers.

ETA: I'm as ghostly looking as they come (aside from the freckles) and I'm not at all offending by the pasty comments. There's a difference between being pale & looking like death warmed over.
