In the past my daughters enjoyed wearing princess dresses and going to the Happily Ever After dinner at GF. This year, my oldest is in that middle stage of still young but will feel too old for a costume type dress. I'm thinking they can still get really dressed up with hair, etc. for a night out. Any suggestions of a place they might enjoy? For now, I'm thinking about Captain's Grill or The Turf Club for steak and because they are only 1 TS credit. Thanks!

Turf Club is terrible in my opinion, not worth the time or trouble, or dining plan credit, to go there.

Assuming it has to be an out of the park restaurant...
For casual dining, I think they might enjoy Beaches & Cream, or The Fountain.
For fancier, perhaps Trattoria al Forno, The Wave, or Grand Floridian Cafe.

Not sure if they need to be accompanied. If they are 14 and under I believe they have to be accompanied by an adult.

My DD was always too tall for the costumes (my height when she was 10)....We got her a promish/bridesmaid style dress and went to 1900 Park Faire anyway! The Grand Floridian is lovely for pictures, and the live music, etc, make it very grand feeling! Now if they are too sophisticated for it, that is something else. It is no longer the mice, but the step sisters that are there, and they are bananas! My DD is 17, and still wants to go. (She no longer dresses up for it though :music:) Not a dressy place, but Raglan Road is very enjoyable, and not at all geared toward the younger set, though young children do enjoy it!

Cali grill. Skip the DDP credits and pay out of pocket. Order apps, drinks, dessert, a kids meal if needed. I took my 8 and 10 year old (who hates dressing g up), and they fell in love! They also thanked me for making them dress up! (Once they saw the crowd was dressy.) our meal was $85, and we all felt full. (2 adults, 1 child food wise. My 8 year old ordered sushi and dessert.)

Good to know! It smells great after a round of golf and my husband's the one who really wants to go there, mostly because it's by the course. But I wondered since I never hear anything about it.
