TWEEN GIRL Christmas Gift ideas!!!!

Ok I give up I've got to ask What's a chocolate pedicure?

It's a spa pedicure that has a chocolate based scrub and lotion and you also get some kind of gourmet chocolate to eat. I hope it is all that she thinks it will be.

Anyone ever done boodlebox.com or candyclub.com? These are monthly subscription boxes of fun little things for girls and then candy. I think my DD would really like getting something from either of these each month, but would love to hear some feedback.

Any idea what comes in the boodleboxes? The website doesn't show anything on the home page.

I am looking into boodlebox also and when I googled it I found a blog called mommysplurge which has photos and reviews of several of the boxes, both teen and child versions. I think I am going to give it a try for 3 months.

^^^This. I did the same and I think I'm going to give a small subscription a try as well!

This must be the year of cutting back... DD turns 11 7 days before Christmas. She has so far only stated wait for it...that she wants a bow and arrow. Archery interest started with Brave and then the Hunger Games (Halloween costume is Katniss). Priced it out and a decent bow with arrows and good target is $200.

A year or two ago my girls got bows for their birthdays. We got the Genesis Original bow on Amazon. Targets at Walmart, arrows at Walmart or Scheels. Now the arrows will go through the foam targets a bit, so we place the target in front of a hay bale. It really helps to have someone watching the arrows, because if they miss and it sails through the grass, they can really thatch into to the grass and be impossible to find!

DD16 made a video about destroying an old laptop last weekend and she shot two arrows into/through the screen...

DD13 isn't officially a tween anymore but she has some tendencies toward younger stuff so I'll join in. All I know so far is I'm getting her a Christmas ornament like every year- maybe Captain America.

And I need to figure out whether the girls are going to buy the Anna & Elsa dresses for Build A Bear themselves or if I can have that as an idea. I know if I buy them now, they are going to ask about going and getting them before Christmas and then what do I say? I might just have to ask them if they want them to be for Christmas, or if they want to pay and have them sooner...

I just got jamberry nail wraps in for my dd. I am putting them on tomorrow. I'll let you know how she likes them. She is a nail biter so I am hoping they will help.

My daughters had fun this summer painting a picture for their rooms. A.C. Moore has a 2pack art canvas for $4 and larger for $6 in their Black Friday ad. We have a ton of paint so I think I will get some of those so they can paint more.

Found this cute little nightlight that changes 7 different colors.

So far I can't think of much! I'm thinking maybe a blue tooth speaker because she likes to listen to music in the shower and then not this exact one but something similar for her Ipod Touch since she always loses it!:

I actually have a Mickey Mouse one that I got in Disney that is much cuter! LOL

Thanks everyone for the Jamberry idea I think I might get that as well!

I'm really struggling with a "Wow" gift. Last year she got a Kindle Fire. Not sure what I will get this year.

I hope the Jams work out for her. I know they helped me stop biting my nails!

I know I talked with several of you about Jamberry and wanted to share that there are holiday gift sets coming out Nov. 12 that have 3 holiday exclusive wraps and the application kit all packaged in a nice little gift box. The gift box doesn't come in junior sizes though, so if her nails are very small she would have to cut them down to fit best (though she would end up with more applications per sheet, always a bright side!). Anyway, my website is my10prettynails.jamberrynails.net if you have any questions!

Oops! Posted twice.

I can't believe Christmas is coming so quickly. I feel so unprepared.

So we put the jamberry nail wraps on this afternoon. I haven't put them on my tween yet (my 8 year old dd is the one who bites her nails). I will say they are easy to put on but I quickly realized her nail shape was more boxy shaped than the nail wraps so I had to do some cutting to make them look right. They didn't exactly cover the entire nail but she really likes them so far. We'll see how they wear and if she keeps her fingers out of her mouth.

Did you use the regular or the junior size??

Thanks. I'm going to check those out when they are released.

I used the junior size. Two hours later they started falling off. Pretty frustrated. I followed the directions using the hair dryer to warm them but something must have gone wrong.
