I was just checking our airfare to see if it had gone down in price and the flights that we were booked on are no longer listed. I then went to look at my itinerary on the TWA site and it says at the bottom,

"This booking has been cancelled."

What does this mean??? I've paid in full - do I just need to pick new flights?

Thanks!
Beth

I was able to talk to someone at TWA and it actually worked out to our benefit!
We were originally scheduled to fly out of STL at 9:45pm on the day after Thanksgiving. We're now leaving at 1:35pm on that day!!!!

Our flight back moves up by 2 hours, but at least we'll also have Friday evening of Thanksgiving weekend to enjoy WDW!!!!!!

56 days and counting!

B3LM, I am glad you get to leave earlier. How did you find out from the web site? I guess our return flight is cancelled too. I will check TWA.

Beth,

The same thing happened to me, so I discovered by checking TWA's web site yesterday. We were to leave on that same 9:45pm (flight 636 which I have taken many times) but on Wednesday, November 28th returning on Tuesday December 4th on the 8pm flight. Well, both of our flights were cancelled. We called TWA and they had placed us on the 7:00pm flight to MCO but we asked if we could be on the 7:30am flight instead. The agent said no problem so now we have gained almost a whole day in WDW! Our return flight leaves Orlando now at 6:00pm, which is 2 hours earlier than our cancelled flight but that is no big deal. We are certainly making up our hours on that first day!

It looks like TWA has cancelled the late flight both departing to and arriving from MCO.

yes they cancelled the flights due to a schedule change with the new service. (revised schedules)

Michelle,
They didn't notify us either, although it's still early. I'm glad they got cancelled and we were able to get on the 1:35 flight.

I assume these are now American Airline flights? My flights on TWA for 11/1 trip were cancelled (didn't show up) too. Called last week and was re-scheduled on AA flights since they merged.

I would suggest anyone holding TWA tickets/reservations to double check.

TWA and American are still operating separately and will still continue to do so for awhile. However, on November 30, 2001 our Aviator miles will convert over to AAdvantage Miles.

How interesting! I guess TWA just cancelled all the flights on our dates and that's why they had to re-book us on AA instead!

Grace, what a bummer :( Will you have a non-stop flight to MCO (if that is where you are going) or have to change planes? Here in St. Louis, TWA went from having 6 non-stop flights to MCO daily to 5 flights. I hope they don't cut anymore. Last week 3000 TWA employees were told they were losing their jobs and I think American will layoff 10,000. When I called to reassign our flights (TWA had just bumped us up to the next earlier flight) I was given several choices of flights including one that was actually American Airlines.

All fellow TWA flyers, keep checking! When I called to see what flight we were changed to ( the 6:00 one btw) I asked if this would be the only change. She laughed and said to be honest she doubted it would be, they will most likely cancel more flights soon. Our outgoing one (10:00) did not change but returning did. If anyone notices more changes please post.:D

Disneycrazymom, thanks for the info! I'll definitely keep checking.

disneylvr,

The flight changes to AA weren't too bad. They were both non-stop as before. The Friday evening flight out of NYC leaves 2 hours later which works out 'cause then dh & I don't have to take 1/2 a day off of work - just leave 1/2 hour early. Our Monday evening flight home leaves MCO an hour earlier which just means we'll probably have to have a late lunch instead of an early dinner.

Maybe it's good they changed us to AA since the TWA flight cancellations aren't over yet. Of course, there will probably be AA flight cancellations also.
