Hi

When we were there in November the parks close at 6pm, so a few of the evenings I suspect we will be back in the room reasonably early. I was just wondering about the Disney channel – is it in English, and is it an actual Disney channel, rather than a Disney promo type thing that is on the Kyriad tvs? Also, what other English TV channels are there?

Many thanks!

There is an English/French split Disney promo channel, the English Disney Channel (the same one you get in the UK), and BBC World. Thats all there is in English unfortunately :(

Although if you have a portable DVD player and can connect it to the in room tv via scart cable you can watch your own films on it.

I've generally found that the English Disney Channel is sufficient on a Disney holiday. It's nice getting back to the hotel room after a busy day and watching the adventures of characters we have just met. It gets you excited about seeing them the next day too! :goodvibes

Do a bit of shopping in the Disney Village. Take your time over a nice meal in the evening - having made a reservation that morning, to stay one step ahead of everyone else leaving the parks!! ;) And enjoy a drink or a mocktail in one of the hotel bars. You'll soon fill up the evening :goodvibes

DD and I quite enjoy watching some of the cartoons and children's programmes in different languages when we are away. You can generally follow the story when it's a cartoon. popcorn::

Couldn't do this at the Ranch as the scart lead was locked onto the TV

We couldn't get Disney channel when we were there only the promo channel. Which seemed a little pointless as when you're already there why do you need to see a constant advert for DLRP inc booking line tel no? :confused3

Should we have had regular Disney channel too?

Yep, we had the regular Disney Channel in the Santa Fe - DD watched the Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Recess in bed :goodvibes .

we did not have the Disney Channel in English when we have stayed at the DLH.
