TV Weather Reports in FL, AZ, TX, etc.

Just curious about how the TV weather people behave in the hot states. When it is going to be, say, hot in July, do they come on and tell you,

"Oh my gosh people, it is going to be HOT today. WARNING. DANGER. STAY INSIDE AT ALL COST. If you go outside, YOU.WILL.DIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It snowed yesterday. Now I know for the people in some parts of the country, it was abnormally bad. But here in New England, it snows. Every single year. Several storms a year. Each one is not a sign of the apocalypse. But if you listened to our weathercasters.....

Yes, they do. We have several people that die each year from the heat.

your post made me giggle.

They will quite seriously tell you that it will be a scortcher and to stay out of the heat and stay hydrated. They don't ususally get THAT excited for 100 degree weather though. They leave their excitement for the day or two we get some ice on the roads.
