So DH surprised me and decided we would go out and get a long talked about new TV for upstairs for our gameroom. We had a very ancient big old TV with state of the art built in VCR :rotfl:!

So I didn't have time to shop online before hand. We bought one Sat.at Best Buy but I was worried we didn't get a good deal, so I was checking today and saw that Best Buy lowered the price, which was decent before, by $110! I called them up and they said to come in and get a price adjustment, no problem. Wow...I thought I would have to fight for it or something. So we are getting a really great deal now. Very Happy with Best Buy. My point is to keep checking after you make a large purchase because you can really save some money sometimes.

The same thing happened to me with a DLSR camera I bought on Friday, it went on sale for $100 off on Sunday. Another thing to check is that if you got a protection plan, the price on that may have gone down as well. They base that on the retail price of the item. Originally my 2 year protection plan was 119.99 but after the camera price dropped 100.00, the plan was only 99.99. I asked for that 20.00 back too and got it with no problem.

They were really good to us too in a similar case. We had a bought a GPS (a few months ago) and a week after we bought it the same one was $20 cheaper advertised at Target. So my DH took the receipt into Best Buy to get a price adjustment and found out that the price had gone down at Best Buy and beat the Target price by $10. So we ended up getting $30 back. :thumbsup2

We got a camera there a few years ago and the price went down $80. I had no problem getting an adjustment. Except I paid with my debit card and instead of putting the money back in my checking account they gave me cash. I could have easily put the money back in my account but what did I do? Went out to an unplanned dinner and spent the entire $80. :rolleyes1

Don't worry OP we still randomly use our "top of the line" VCR. How else am I gonna do Tae Bo?:rotfl2:

My 12 year old washer and dryer died on me in January. I looked online and found the best price was at Lowe's but Best Buy was offering free delivery and haul away. So, I went to Best Buy, showed them on my iphone the Lowe's deal. They matched it, which was $150off their price. ANd they will guarantee lowest price for 30 days.

3 weeks later, Best Buy's price went $60 below what I paid on washer. I took my receipt in and they credited the money back to me . No problem! Love Best Buy!!!

If you don't mind me asking which TV did you get? We are looking to get one for our family room. Thanks

Ha ha Marmalade on the VCR. Only the VCR portion of the TV was actually broken! and it had no component connection ports for hooking up devices like our new "free" DVR from direct TV

We got the LG 42LK520. It is an LCD TV flat screen, 42 inches. Great picture and good refresh rates for gaming (DS/Xbox). So far it has been easy to figure out. This week it is $612. We are planning to hang it on the wall, but we want to put the components on the side of the room if possible and run cables through the wall so they don't show.
